I can't describe how beautiful the white sand beach is! One has to go and enjoy! It's worth to go there definitely! We visited klingi, nungwi and Dongwe too. But Kendwa's sea and beach was really different and beautiful. We had a great time, altough someone stole my sea shoes:((..
We also joined to a Mnemba Island tour from Kendwa, organized by a beach boy, although we don't like to call him as a beach boy...His name is Captain Omar! As many people commented we were insecure about The Beach Boys. But Omar explained his tours with his good English and in a very kind way. We checked the tours provided by our hotel but you'll notice everybody is taking their commission for the same/similar tour charging you more expensive. We trusted Omar and it was an exactly good choice!!! We had a great time at the mnemba island tour. One can find him in Kendwas beach, he has other tours too like stone town etc. and one can trust him. Also you'll pay less than the tours organized by the hotels. Here's his watsup number: +225773152892

Scuba Do Zanzibar is a PADI accredited 5-Star Gold-Palm Dive Centre and recognised as one of the most professional, eco-friendly diving, snorkelling and Water Sports centres in Zanzibar. Located at La Gemma Dell'Est and Sunset Kendwa, we are in the heart of the best diving around the North Coast of Zanzibar and are well positioned to service a multitude of hotels around the island. We dive from either rigid hull inflatable boats or our 44' luxury sailing catamaran. Private dive guides or private boat charters are available at your request. Startling white sand, clear azure sea, spectacular sunsets, peace and tranquility create the setting for a world class diving experience.
Located at hotel Sunset Kendwa. Quality of gear is excellent, boats for diving are new and comfortable. Multiple diving spots with lots of tropical aquatic life and good visibility. Professional dive master making sure you enjoy your dive in a safe manner. Fair prices, you can pay by card. I'd have no problem diving with them again in the future.

The Best Sailing Experience in Kendwa and Nungwi, Zanzibar Are you planning a holiday in Zanzibar and decided to stay in Kendwa or Nungwi? One of the most incredible experiences in Zanzibar is sailing on a traditional Dhow. Hope Dhow is a beautiful and the most exquisite Dhow in the area. Originally crafted using traditional methods and solid wood, you can sail the shores of Zanzibar in luxury, whilst feeling very close to nature and cared for by Hope Dhow’s awesome crew of very experienced sailors.
This was my second trip with the crew. Hope Dhow is truly the most beautiful sail boat in Kendwa and Nungwi. It was slightly windy and therefore perfect conditions for sailing. None of my other friends could join on the day but the crew are really fun and safe to be with. We left around 9 am and anchored by Mnemba for snorkelling and an amazing lunch.
We had BBQ calamari and octopus with mixed fruit salad and chapati (local flat bread). We sailed back in time for the sun set and it was spectacular. If you want a truly unforgettable experience during your holiday, definitely choose to sail with Hope Dhow.

Kendwa community village tour is an ecotourism is organised by local community in Kendwa to enable you to understand their culture, its not enough to be in the hotels or sunbathing for you to know better Kendwa, getting into our village gives you insight about Kendwa and its people, you are very much welcome to meet us, book online and meet us face to face.
Our correspondence with this organization presented a Zanzibari cooking school with a brief village tour. There really was no cooking school. We visited a woman's home who was making a meal, and helped peel some carrots and coconuts, but there was nothing about this experience that was a class to explain the ingredients, the recipe, how it's made, what the significance of the cuisine is in Swahili culture. After more than three hours sitting on the floor of the kitchen, we realized there really wasn't going to be a cooking class. If anything, this might be considered a demonstration of how a meal is prepared in a village home. We had very little interaction with the chef herself as she busily prepared the meal.
For those on line who selected this activity to see a village, yes, we did that. However our correspondence with the organizers was about a cooking school, not a village tour. We expected a 3-4 hour cooking class; we got a 7 hour visit to a village and a home. Interesting, but not at all what we had hoped for and planned on.

A UNIQUE BEACH BOUTIQUE- selling bikinis, beach wear, souvenir's, hand made artisans goods from Africa, art, jewelry, rugs and much more. LOCATED IN KENDWA, ZANZIBAR-TANZANIA-EAST AFRICA
This boutique has so many cute and handmade items. A nice variety of flip flops, swimsuits, gifts, coffee, art, handmade goods from Tanzania and much more. It is located on the main road when entering Kendwa behind all of the big hotels. It is worth the venture out of the hotel complexes to go check out. The prices are reasonable compared to Western or European boutique prices. They only accept cash as far as I am aware.
