This was our first time heading south from Atlanta to see waterfalls. Lots of them up north but just a few south (I think). Very picturesque. Park car in the state park lot (need annual pass or pay $5). Trail is across the street. Very short 10 minute walk to falls. Trail has lots of large rocks/boulders. But there are handrails for a lot of it. Don’t forget to observe the dam from the the parking lot.

Minutes away from high falls state park and admission is free. Many animals; tigers, bears, peacocks, turtles, cougar, snakes, owls, birds!! Very easy to access and many shaded areas.
