History Museum and Tourist Attraction
This was a great way to learn about Elbow Cay, history of the Abacos, and way of life from a time gone by. I recommend taking the time to visit.

Join us for a full or half day of sport fishing from Hope Town Harbour, Elboy Cay in the Bahamas. The boat leaves the main dock at 8 AM and travels 20 minutes to the fishing grounds. We use a combination of trolling or chumming depending on what we're fishing for. We'll clean your catch so you can take it home for dinner. Ice and bottled water are included on all trips.
What a great day we had! We booked a 1/2 day charter. Ira met us at the Lodge Dock in Hope Town (although her offered to meet us anywhere). He was on time and we left for the fishing grounds right away.
The boat was very seaworthy and well maintained and Captain Ira was great. I had my 12 year old son with me for his first deep sea fishing experience. And what an experience we had.
We caught our first fish within 5 minutes (a black fin tuna), then added a skipjack (thrown back) and three dolphin fish - two of which were very large (> 20 lbs) and a huge wahoo. So much fun!
We came back after four hours as scheduled and It was clear that we had caught the most and largest fish of all the charters that had returned by that time. I've come to understand through many such trips that a part of that is luck, and a larger part is the skill and the experience of the captain as to rigging, fishing location, etc. I attribute much of our luck in this case to the captain as this was the best such experience I've ever had.
Captain Ira was great with my 12 year old son too. He got seasick and one point and Ira had no problem returning to the dock. But my son decided to keep going and it proved worthwhile as he was fine thereafter.
Ira cleaned and bagged our fish for us. And we took back more than we could have eaten in weeks. So it was a great day.
I highly recommend A Salt Weapon and Captain Ira.

One of a Kind Sail bags, made in Hope Town.
This is a neat little bicycle shop/custom, one-off bag shop. I loved all of the bag styles and the canvases were amazing colors and designs. Loved seeing it. I can't imagine paying $125 for a small beach duffle, but if I did I'd buy one of these!

Froggie's Out Island Adventures Froggie’s Out Island Adventures is a full service dive shop located in Hope Town on Elbow Cay. Our friendly crew offers daily charters and trips throughout The Abacos’ most iconic diving and snorkeling sites.
Enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving with our dive master Jason. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing trip. We explored the caverns and it was very personable, not over crowded.

Justin was born and raised on Elbow Cay.. Fishing is what he loves.. Local Boy Charters offers full or half day offshore charters on his 34 foot crusader sport fishing boat.
Capt. Justin and his First Mate JR are excellent fisherman and seaman. We woke up to the wind honking on the north side of our island and we weren't sure if it was okay to go out. Justin and JR reassured us what the weather was doing and what they expected and they nailed it on the head. We had a very successful day of fishing where we caught 4 Wawhoo and 2 Barracudas. They are very organized and take extremely good care of their boat. We will definitely be going to fish with them again when we come back. Thank you to both of you. - The White Family.
