We came up the gondola to walk along a guided hike which was wonderful for families even with small children. There were several points of interest marked up along the trail, with different activities and things to explore - water play, as well as digging for "gems", etc. Beautifully laid out and easily done with a 4-year-old. Really recommended.

This is an awesome resort. A little bit more expensive than most but you get some really good attitude and the good snow that comes with it

The coldest warm welcome in Mayerhofen! You MUST visit here! You’ll be greeted by staff called Wally and Dominic. They are two of the nicest people I have ever met! Friendly and chatty and both speak better queens English than me and I’m from Liverpool! Lovely people. Dominic is your tour guide. He is such a nice guy! The glacier tour lasts for approximately an hour. You walk inside the glacier through carved out tunnels, most are man made but some are natural! You climb up and down safety ladders until you reach a depth of over 60 metres. Wear your ski kit including ski boots if you wish! I did. The glacier itself dates back to thousands of years of frozen history with stalactites and stalagmites formed in ice! It’s amazing! The main entrance is approximately a five minute walk across and down a piste. The whole experience does require the individual to be reasonably fit. €21 is the total cost and totally worth it! Thank you Dominic, you made our visit unforgettable and Wally, we will see you in summer when your tour is extended to allow you to swim, boat and kayak inside the glacier. There is a world record attempt planned there in June when a free diver will attempt to dive an extra 50 metres towards the bedrock. All in all, I’ll never forget this experience and I’m confident that you won’t forget it either!
