Hard to believe how many curio, trinket, memento, specialty, candy, and wot not shops can be lined up along one street. Native American store, restaurants, museums, antiques, leather, candles, and anything else you might think of are there for your browsing. We have been driving through and visiting Hardy on our way to Branson for twenty or more years. It never really gets old. It has a charm and pul that brings people back. The river flows close by, a McDonalds just renovated and stands sparkly new. Look deeper and you will find some pretty fascinating lodging, canoeing, and sone really interesting local and part timer housing along the river. Worth the trip, especially for crafters.

There is a small place to pull over and go see the view. It is a very short walk. You can continue down the road to where the road is even with the river and you can enjoy the river. Some people also call this Star Falls Overlook.

We went here with our 4-H group. There were 18 of us and the staff took excellent care of us. I will break the review down to the different things offered that we did.
Camping- The spots were very nice with water and electric. Right on the river with easy access. The campground was clean and well cared for. Bathroom had a shower and was clean.
River access- we fished and caught tons of fish, swam and the water was clean and refreshing, we floated from one point back to our campsite and it was great. had a couple small rapids to keep it fun .
Horse back riding- The horses were very well trained. Perfect for a bunch of beginner kids. And a few scared adults. The trail was a walking single file trail but was diversified enough to keep it interesting. You go through lots of woods so its nice and shady not to hot. Through lots of creeks and water , over some rocks, and through beautiful scenery . And such a reasonable price compared to other horse rental places!
Zip line- WOW!!!!! First off I am terrified of heights and at one point the zip-line is 350 ft in the air and going up to 55 mph. It goes over the river and through the tree tops. I was really scared not only to do it myself but to let me 8 year old do it. But the guides are so Amazing! They were kind and patient. They talk you through it if you are scared and are very safety oriented. It was so much fun. Even the younger kids loved it and wanted to go again. We had people from 7 to 65 years old and they helped each one according to their needs. Even taking some of the more scared kids tandem and building their confidence to where they were going alone on the last few lines. Again the guides are the best ever!
If you are looking for a great family trip that will not break the bank and will leave your kids talking about it for weeks after this is the place to go!
