This trail begins at 7000 ft. and is downhill all the way.
The operation was very well organized (Downieville Outfitters). The shuttle is the way to go, and the trails are endless.

A great area for mountain biking.
We went to Tahoe National Forest after the mid November 2015 storm snow. Its so great to see the pines covered in snow. A nice drive is on highway 80 to see them, but best is to get off the main road and see them up close.
We've been to Tahoe National Forest many many times. Its great all seasons of the year from snow play in winter to fishing, hiking and biking in the summer.
At one of the rest stops is a mining exhibit.

Have you ever seen a public Gallows? One like this was last used in 1884 in Sierra County. It is displyed outside of the old jail. We were told by a tour guide that the only women to be hung in Sierra County was kept in this jail and hung from a gallows like this. If you are in Downieville, stop and see .

A lot of small fish in this creek to be caught. It is a fun hike along the creek to fish the various holes for trout. At times there can be some snakes along the way, but if you are careful they will not present a problem.
These two trails offers thrills and scenic views of the countryside.
Located near Pauly Creek, this challenging river run offers Class IV+ rapids.
