Undertook this walk as part of a walk from Collaroy to Manly. While my own favourite part of the Collaroy-Manly walk is the wilder and more elevated section around Dee Why headland, the stretch from Curl Curl to Freshwater also has plenty to offer, with some lovely coastal views (and summer breezes). It is also a much more straightforward and easier track to traverse, with much of it being along boardwalks. There are water stations along the way but there is not a lot of shade - it's definitely a good idea to wear a hat. .

South Curl Curl Rockpool is located at the southern end of Curl Curl Beach on the Northern beaches in Sydney. The pool is a 50m Olympic size with a beautiful wading pool next door suited to families. There are excellent facilities with change Rooms, toilets and disable parking. Gusto cafe is located just a few minutes walk away which serves coffee, snacks, breakfast and lunch.
South Curl Curl Rockpool is a 50 metre size pool with an additional toddlers wading pool which is fabulous for families. There are toilets, change room and parking available. A cafe can be found next door to the surf club a few minutes walk along the path. The pool is also popular with teenagers when large swells lash the coast as the hold onto the pools chains whilst being smashed by the massive waves at high tide ???? South Curly beach is well known as Sydney’s top surfing beach due to its beautiful big southerly swells which roll in. It’s often closed to swimmers due to the strong rips and undertows.
