CNN listed it as the 52nd best place to live in America in 2005. It was first settled in the early 19th century and renamed Crestwood in 1909.

The Kentucky Artisan Distillery opened in 2012, as Oldham County's first distillery since Prohibition. We are a contract distiller and bottler, and are now the home of Jefferson's Bourbons. Guests learn the story behind this incredibly unique brand while touring a craft distillery in an up-close and personal way. Every tour is a behind-the-scenes tour!

Very much what a northerner like me expected a Kentucky Distillery would look like when we pulled in. Very quaint, well decorated, and beautiful place with a very nice staff, great tour, great distillers, neat bottling area, and awesome liquor. Our tour seemed very personalized and special and our guide was very informative. We are already a big fan of Jefferson's but will appreciate it alot more after seeing all the hard work and creativity that goes into making every barrel and bottle. They distill for other labels as well. Very nice gift shop inside. It was my first tour of this sort and I'm thinking they set the bar really high.
