The 8th grades from Linden Middle Schooll went to Johnsonville State Park for a Civil War exhibition. They loved it! The park employees are so nice and knowledgeable. This was the third year we've visited, but the first time for the Civil War displays outside. We are fortunate to have such a nice facility nearby that welcomes groups of students and their many questions. I highly recommend watching the video in the welcome center. As many times as I've seen it, I still enjoy it.

This memorial is in its early stage. Besides the boulder (nice), there isn't much. The newspaper articles on display are of poor quality and the sign at the entrance is missing. Steep paths that are being washed away because of poor construction.

The only pearl farm in America.
We did not get the boat tour because it was closing soon. I think it would be better with that. Anyway, call ahead to make sure they can accommodate you for it.
So, for the museum, it is very small but interesting. It is in a marina of sorts and a large room with some small displays and a video. Make sure to ask questions because the people who run the museum have a lot of info in their heads!

Enjoyed meeting the staff and tasting your wines at Taste of Tennessee. Very good wines with the Tower Red being my favorite. Hope to visit the winery in near future. :)

This museum is new and just recently opened. The phone Number for them is 731.584.2594They have outstanding Civil War, and American Indian collections. Along with Local History and a tribute collection to Patsy Cline who died in the area only a short distance away from there. Unique Pepsi and Coke collections are also featured in their own area. I found this place quite by accident but would highly recommend it as a place to see if your in the area or passing through.
I live right down the road from this place, I've never seen it open. The parkinglot is nice to leave a car if you're carpooling, though.
