We had a wonderful visit middle of July 2018. Arrived at 10am in the dot, line was about 15 minutes long. Went very fast. Plenty of seats and shade! Pool area very clean. Very attentive life guards, everyone is very friendly! This is the perfect place for families! We had 3 kids here, 5, 10 & 11, they all loved it! There was plenty for everyone to do. We felt the older 2 were safe enough do they own thing. Safety breaks every hour for 10 min to rehydrate, reapply sunscreen and take the kids to the bathroom. Not too crowded, not too big. Just perfect! Highly recommended by us!

Not sure why people rate a free park as "terrible" or "poor", but I thought Lake Fairfax Park was great and has a lot to offer, including baseball diamonds, picnic areas, walking trails, a skate park, soccer pitches, a lake (duh), a water park (not free), a bicycle "skate park" (not sure what it's called in bike lingo), and who even knows what else; didn't tour the entire park. Definitely recommend if you're at all interested in doing free things outside, in a safe, lovely place, and definitely will go here again.

We've been trying local Movie Theaters with my wife in a wheelchair ... Reston's Bow Tie Cinema offers mid theater reserved seats with neighboring spaces for her wheelchair ... Every theater room we've visited at Bow Tie offers the same access ... Elevator to 2nd floor as well.

The Wiehle Reston station is the current end of the Silver LIne Metro. There is a large bus terminal on the north side of the station, where you can connect to most anywhere in Fairfax County, including most importantly, Dulles Airport (via the Washington Flyer's direct service for $5 or the Fairfax Connector/WMATA bus 505 or 981/983 for a couple bucks less).
