There is no better way to see our Port than from the water. Take a tour with Nomada Charters for just that. We have the River Rider which is available for one hour sightseeing tours on a pontoon boat. You will take a leisurely trip up Lynn Valley River and into the Black Creek Nature Reserve. Along the way you will see prestigious homes, exquisite yachts and wildlife. While enjoying the sights you will be provided with colourful commentary, peppered with interesting and comical historical lore and a little island music to go with the experience. We also provide private charters and can accommodate bus tours.

Bring a camera, if your into history, ad I. Imagination flourishes when visting this attraction, and free at that. But i left a little contribution. Excellent area, with lots of benches, free parking and just watching boats go by.

We were in Port Dover for our rental but drove to Simcoe on the two weekends for a baseball tournament. The baseball diamonds the grandkids played on were wonderful, great bleacher seating, nice playground which bordered in this trail. I saw and spoke to several locals, and they very proudly spoke of the trail and how one individual said she rode to Brantford. We came across several bike riders in our way back and that is when I noticed the sign for the trails. I wish we had been able to spend more time before we had to go home. But if we get back there, would love to explore it more. Wonderful that we have such wonderful trails in this area. Makes me wonder what else we missed.

We arrived in Port Dover late on a Friday night. We took a stroll out to the beach just as the sun was setting. We saw the lighthouse in the distance and made a note to come back the next day. The next was a beautiful day and we took a walk out to the end of the pier. Many benches along the pier to sit and enjoy the view. Thought we'd be able to go into the lighthouse but it is not accessible. Nevertheless it was lovely to look at and we enjoyed the peaceful time. A beautiful place to unwind.
