My husband and i stopped here on a Saturday while in Canandaguia. We love all the different buildings and sometimes you can find fun. unique gifts and items that are unusual. The amish always have their baked good here CHEAP and they are so inexpensive. They have 2 or 3 large buildings you walk thru, jellies, maple syrup, fudge, handmade items, soaps. crafts etc alot of fun things to look thru. Then they have food vendors, veggies, plants and out back about 30 different little shops everything from baskets to pot holders to dresses, signs, garden items etc etc etc. A very fun place to spend a Saturdsy afternoon as this is the only day they are open. The best thing is parking is free and they have regular bathrooms not out houses. The plate of ribbon French fries are to die for. A must visit if you like crafty, flea market type places that have a bit of everything

We biked the Catherine Valley Trail, the Seneca Cayuga Canal Trail, and the Keuka Lake Outlet trail on this trip and Keuka was by far the prettiest. We started from Desden so that it would be uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back. There was a beautiful stream along the entire trail with two beautiful waterfalls. Seneca Mill Falls was amazing and right on the trail. There were so many places to picnic along the way, including one wonderful stream side spot with a picnic table midway between Seneca Mill Falls and Pen Yan. The trail is pretty rough so you will need a hybrid or mountain bike. This has to be one of my all time favorite bike paths, despite the bumps! And it was not crowded at all on Labor Day weekend. Amazing.

We stopped in here while vacationing in Penn Yan, and the Amish (Mennonite?) woman who owns the place guided us around the store and explained all that they have to offer. She makes beautiful Amish quilts, and there is a large variety of jarred jams, apple butters, pickles and preserves that she said her sister makes. Other items are available as well such as rustic decorative items. Loved this place. Highly recommend it.

The owner stayed open to accommodate the two of us as we enjoyed ice cream and the charm of the old-fashioned candy shop. We learned about the "Green Heart of the Finger Lakes" special chocolate and fell in love with the Grape Dark Chocolate representing Canandaigua Lake. It was fun to look at the favorites of yesteryear, but we were drawn to the "good stuff" in the chocolate case. It's so exquisite and rich! Everything we purchased was delicious and I'm still savoring the flavors.

Should have planned to have breakfast here. They have a great cafe with great prices! We did have some of their great “FRESHLY ROASTED”coffee along with freshly baked muffins! What a treat! Oh yeah, cannot forget all the bulk food items. Largest selection we have seen anywhere, and we have traveled the whole United States! Huge bakery selection. Window allows anyone to watch the whole baking process. A definite must stop kind of place!
