This park brings to life the reality of the removal of Cherokee life during the 19th century. Located on the land where the Cherokee council once met, this park provides opportunities to learn about the Cherokee, and provides amenities such as picnic areas and an amphitheater. There is also a natural landmark known as blue hole spring. More information on this park and many more can be found at the TN State Parks website.
We love this park. Nice little 1.7 mile trail, really cool historic cabins, gazebo, amphitheater. Lots of interesting Cherokee Indian history. We come about once every few months on a cool, sunny day. We have had picnics here several times. We once saw some Cherokee descendants doing reenactment and living history types of programs that were very interesting.

Probably one of the best things the city has done in decades. Great bike and walking paths! Includes multiple benches, trash receptacles/recycling receptacles, great scenic stream the length of the 16 miles of walkways. Runs right thru town from the Commerce center up Lee Highway to the Gondoler/Cooke's Grocery on past Cleveland High School, to Tinsley Park and the dog parks, on to the back side of Home Depot! Water foutains and bathrooms along the way. Enjoy the outdoors!
