The impressive lighthouse has a huge area of grassland surrounding it making it a great spot for a picnic. The lighthouse stands on top of the big hill near the entrance to the Clarence River and there are wonderful views over the entrance and the break wall as well as over Main Beach. Near the water tower on the Western side of the hill stands the original lighthouse which is now home to the local radio station.
