incredible stonework, great motifs and a masterpiece if you want to see a great work of art. Yakutiye Madrasa was built in the 14th century by Emir Cemaleddin Yakut during the reign of Ilhanli ruler Olcayto. There were examples of the type of madrasah with closed courtyard, iwan and portico, which continued to exist in Anatolia The madrasa is in front of the medieval Turkish art with its symmetrical structure, various figures carved in stone reliefs and tile arrangements.

Ulu Cami

Reviewed By 419nilaya - Istanbul, Turkey

Following many travellers comments I'd say the mosque distinguishes by its many columns and arches, which reminded me the interior of a gothic church. It has plain yet an elegant style. The dome of the mosque is impressive made by wooden beams in "Kirlangic" style, which we learned to be a traditional roof interior in the ancient times of Erzurum.
