The drive to SiddhiVinayak Temple was amidst nature with half way beach following the route!! The Temple is well maintained and felt very peaceful and serene after doing the Darshans and seeking Blessings of Bappa!! Infact, through the Temple complex one can also trek towards the footsteps of Lord Ganesha!!

One has to visit this place as it is said to be built in a day by the Pandavs. The Keshavraj mandir is situated on a hilltop and one needs to climb around 200+ steps to reach this spot. The walk through the dense trees is an amazing experience. Do make sure you visit this atleast once.

Magnificent statue over an humongous globe. When inside the globe there is no central support. Great architecture and the sight from the hilltop is awesome. Must visit.

Very Cool and Excellent Place to Visit with Family and Friends. Nearby have all hotels, homes for Stay. Lunch and Dinner. You can go for a boat ride in the morning to see Dolphins. Around 8 km away, you will get Fish Market, Harnai. Around 2 km away, you will get water sport activities like banana boat riding, jet skiing, bullock cart riding etc on Murud beach. Don't conflict it with Murud-Janjira beach. Please Note, Approaching bridge to Karde beach is narrow, hence vehicles bigger than Car needs to be parked 350 meters away from beach.

Murud Beach is located in the Murud Village of DAPOLI Taluka of RATNAGIRI district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is famous among the people staying in Pune, Mumbai and other nearby town. I visited this place by traveling from Mumbai City. HOW TO GO: 1) By Train: Regular trains are available from Mumbai, Pune & other cities. The nearest Railway station from Murud Beach is KHED which is around 35 KM away from Murud Beach. From Railway station one has to take bus or rickshaw or private vehicle to reach Murud Beach. Charges of Bus or rickshaw will be around 40-50 Rupees per person. 2)By Bus: Daily Regular private & public buses are available from all major cities such as Pune, Mumbai, Ratnagiri etc. The bus will drop you at Dapoli Bus depot which is 12 km away from Murud Beach and then you have to take Share rickshaw for Murud Beach for which they charges Rs. 20/- per person. Also there are few state Govt. run MSRTC buses from Mumbai & Pune which will take you Directly to Murud Village where Beach is located. But frequency of such buses are very less. WHERE TO STAY: There are many Hotels, Lodge and Resorts in Murud Village where you can stay that too in reasonable price. We stayed in OYO Mango House Hotel which is 7-8 min walk for Murud Beach. Charges was Rs. 571/- per day for double bed room with T.V. & A.C. Prior booking of accomodation is recommended but you also can get accomodation easily after arriving in Village as we didn't saw any shortage of room availability. What to Eat: You are in coastal area of Western Ghat (Konkan). Fish ???? food is recommended also Veg. Food are available. One important point is here you have to go for your dinner before 7pm otherwise you will not get food of your choice in your dinner. This is because this area is like full village. Hotels are closed early therefore late night dinner is not possible here. There are some restaurants who will loot you and will give inferior quality of food. We had food at restaurant located on Murud beach named as Shri Tupe Bandhu's Khana Khajana They serve Good Quality food breakfast in reasonable price. (Veg Thali in Rs. 150/-). We will recommend visitor to have food here only. (visiting Card of this restaurant is attached in this article). Places to Visit: 1) MURUD Beach: You can enjoy swimming & bathing in Sea water in morning time and then photography thereafter. You also can enjoy boat rides but it is little costly. 2) MURUD VILLAGE: Those who lives in Cities like Mumbai are very much interested in visiting village. Here you can see village houses, farms, village schools interact will villagers etc. 3) HARNAI FISH MARKET& FORT: HARNAI FISH MARKET is very famous. you have to board vehicle for reaching there as it is around 8 km away from Murud Village. Fort also can be seen there. Sufficient Duration of Stay: Well it depends upon person to person and Group to Group i.e. how much time is available with them. However 2 days stay is sufficient to enjoy Murud beach and nearby area. SAFETY & SECURITY: Murud Beach & Murud Village is totally safe for visitors. If you face any problem just inform the Village man, they will take care of everything. BUDGET: Rs.1000/- per day per person including everything. (Travel, hotel, food)
