Early pioneer history museum with a look into the past, preserved for the future - displayed through an inviting collection of rooms depicting the life and times of early settlers on the West End of the Olympic Peninsula - featuring farming, homesteads, early businesses in Forks, logging, native influence and shipwrecks, Fire equipment and a Lookout Tower - with many photographic displays and narrative.
We went to the Twilight museum, not Timber Excellent review if you’re into Twilight. A must see. Actual actor and actress costumes were on display with Gay,(yes, this is the same educated Gay who works at the chamber of commerce- small town, lol) providing detailed overviews for scenes, props and other discoveries. Very knowledgeable and learned more than we wanted and needed, but was well-worth every moment. We would go back just to hang out with Gay!! Lol

The Olympic Coast Discovery Center on the Port Angeles waterfront is a great place to begin your learning adventures on the Olympic Coast. It has information for the whole family about marine conservation, the animals and habitats of the Olympic Coast, and the part you play in protecting our marine environment. Trained Discovery Center staff and dedicated volunteers will provide detailed information on where to hike, where to see whales, the best views or secluded beaches. You'll get road distances and driving times, and tips for getting the most out of your visit. You will also learn about the history of exploration of the Olympic Coast and the many tools that researchers use to understand the underwater landscapes, living communities and ocean processes that make Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary the ecological treasure it is.
