A luxury hotel with fantastic views and helpful staff. I enjoyed the history of the hotel and marvelled at the courage and gall of Henry Flagler who built this hotel and whose investments paved the way for tourism in South Florida. Did not enjoy the spa; was not sure if feasible without an appointment plus we were pressed for time sadly. Aesthetically pleasing and quite a Zen experience.

Directly on the beachfront, within the prestigious Palm Beach district, the lavish 4C's Resort offers superb family friendly accommodations in a comfortable chic fashion. Moments away is one of the worlds most dazzling shopping meccas; Worth Avenue, (named because you almost need a net worth of high 7 figures to shop here), all the fashionable cultural venues of the Palm Beach Society and the challenges of the state-of-the-art Atlantic Golf Club. Just as impressive are the facilities of the 4C's, including a beautifully decked out set of pools, 4C's standard for resort amenities, divine dining venues and a world class spa; the Palm Beach Spa and Wellness (the Spa). Palm Beach is a decidedly luxurious destination, the 4C's is a posh resort venue and the Spa is in keeping with this company. A palatial space, complete with marble staircase, it is filled with clean lines and serene buff and gold hues. I was greeted by a cream and blue reception area with walls that have been hand-painted to look like stone. The facility takes full advantage of the adjacent seascape in terms of decor and this feature enhances the soothing calmness of the Spa's ambience. This 11000 sq. ft. sanctuary racks up 11 treatment rooms, fully stocked change areas, a eucalyptus room, a whirlpool, a ladies/men cozy, coed relaxation room (with tea and cookies) and a large couples suite, taken all together, provide a superb support system for the full Spa menu. Ah......the Spa....god knows we all need a little indulgence and this inviting, pampering enclave welcomes guests to unwind from the trials of the life of the 'rich and famous' with a wealth of indulgent offerings. This regal spot presents a raft of therapies that run the gamut, for solo's and twosomes alike including run-of-the-mill massages, scrubs, wraps, etc.....with options for customization and add-on options. On top of emerging therapy technologies combined with avant garde ingredients and trending global influences, enables the Spa to provide new treatments embracing ultra-personal guest experiences. As a spa novice, I audited the Spa menu to tap into a treatment appropriate for the gentleman in me and I twigged to the following remedies: PALM BEACH SIGNATURE MASSAGE: the most popular treatment in the Spa repertoire utilizing heat packs and essential oils like key lime & vanilla (are we making a pie stones or getting a massage, BEACH BREAK: a quick pick-me-upper in a 25 or 50 minute timetable which attacks the neck, back and shoulders in a soothing sort of a way........take a beach break, OCEANA SALT STONE MASSAGE: a body bathing experience in a wash of essential minerals from warmed Himalayan sea salt stones along with a therapeutic aromatherapy blend..........couldn't find stones a little closer to home, COUPLES EXPERIENCE: gives duo's a choice between an array of massages for relationship building followed by a 1/2 hour of private time to enjoy the couples room where they can adhere to the adage that 'couples who spa together stay together'. The Florida sun hammered the life out my skin, my tennis elbow flared up from a brutal tennis match and I'm always looking for the latest and greatest 'fountain of youth' remedies, so I would be enamoured of a treatment that would tackle any, or preferably, all of these issues. I was a little lilly-livered about my selection but I choose the Marine Muscle Relief with an extra order of aloe skin quench. With it's warm aloe wrap infused with algae exhibiting properties that address sore worn muscles as well as sooth and calm the skin..........this treatment was just what the doctor ordered......bang on. I went into this treatment with dry tired skin and tennis elbow and I came out with a sore-less elbow and skin 'oh so soft'......only disappointment ......the treatment didn't take 10 years off my age. Therapists, aestheticians and pamperers were very knowledgeable and professional in the execution of their Spa skillsets and Spa guests have access to the 4C's beach, pools and complimentary fitness classes, oceanside. So, if you want to luxuriate in an intimate paradise where soothing, healing, cleansing and refreshing are the order of the day under the expert guidance of Spa professionals ......then try the.......Palm Beach Spa.....Beach Body Break From The Sun.
