So firstly- how to get there? I was parked at the Y Tunnel Discovery Centre... (Carpark is in Hood Street) * Turn left onto the Goulburn Valley Highway/High Street (1.7 k) * Follow the road until you get to Limestone Road, turn right (2.8 k) * Turn left onto Cheviot Road (4 k) This drive will take you 11 minutes. When you arrive, it's tempting to drive to the gate that says private access... continue driving just past it and you will see a huge carpark area. There is easily room for 20 cars there. You will walk down a small embankment area and then you follow a star and it's straight on to Neverland. The tunnel is 201 metres long and it's made of locally made bricks. The tunnel was opened in 1889 and you will see it's been made exceptionally well because it's in incredible condition. It took two years to build this tunnel. So why visit today? Well it's a beautiful piece of engineering... and a lovely reminder of a bygone era.
