The Theatre House was designed By the Nystrom-Petrelius-Penttila architectural firm and it was originally built in 1898 as the offices of Sysma Savings Bank. The architecture of the building represents the romantic nationalistic style, which was still just coming into fashion in Finland at the end of the 1800´s

"Silver moon" is a metallic ode to Olavi Virta, to his life and his universal, unique genius for interpreting Finnish melanchioly and dreams and for music in general. The memorial statue depicts the course of Olavi Virta´s life. and the rhythm of music, movement and contrast, dreams and reality, starting from the ground and ending in the clouds, in drems and in outer space.
