Over the years my kids have had a sit on the wooden donkey a number of times. Situated in the pier gardens which are sadly missed by most visitors to cleethorpes

Visited the away end to see the mighty hatters once again beat the mariners. The stadium is very similar to kenilworth road, in need of a total refurb. The toilets are awful, but the food was ok and the sight lines are good. The biggest problem with Blundell Park and has been on the numerous visits I’ve had here is that this part of cleethorpes seems to be the coldest point on earth. The wind blows in from the North Sea and it is absolutely freezing so by the second half you have mild hypothermia. No wonder the home fans are so quiet, they are too cold to sing. However, it is nice to visit an old traditional ground where you are so close to the pitch you can interact or abuse the players at will.
