Driving through quintessential Long Island to find a fully working apple orchard was breathtaking. Once on the GPS it ay say Fort Salonga or Northport. It was a little challenging with the input of the address. Upon driving down pulaski road go slow as there are winding curves off the highway and it can be missed. It is a residential area. There is a long driveway that is breathtaking with apple trees (the orchard) you will come upon a large brown barn in front of you and that is where you can purchase some items, walk around and experience this orchard. Park in marked stalls vs grass. There are signs directing you to park and where to enter. Property is beautiful and breathtaking, in the spring /summer much greener.. A friend suggested we drive here here instead of to the East End of Long Island. we were pleasantly surprised as the young attendant tending to the shop was friendly, welcoming and glad to see us. Decided on Fujii apples in a little bag- Their apples are fresh, crisp and delightful to the most discerning palate. They also have other items, Delicious apple cider (fresh pressed) and a wonderful lot to have a picnic in the car. This "off the beaten" path is a long time family annual trip. My family really appreciated that we stopped in and shopped in. Was able to get a bag of apples, cider and some other items at a fair price. Will be back!!
