For those who are wondering if it's safe to travel to Sri Lanka because of the crisis, the answer is "Yes". Had a safe and nice 15 days stay right recently in May. Recommend to book directly with resort, a driver will pick you up and drop you off directly. It takes 1h and 15m from airport to the resort. It's a small resort but all the staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone will greet you. Ayurvedic daily meals, it's a challenge for me because I'm not a big fan of tuna fish and the options are limited for me. However, that's part of the detoxification progress. The room is cozy, but I would recommend to book a higher category. As for the Ayurveda doctor, if they can speak better English that would be great. But the manager, he can speak both and Germany. He is very attentive and tried to fix the problem for me. You will have more than 2h different kind of massage everyday. Lack of petrol, Sri Lankan government had power shut from time to time. But resort has generator perhaps and electricity is always back soon. There are some issues, but they all tried to solve the problem and actually it was handled quite better than I'm expecting. Thank you for the Ayurveda Manager, Chef in restaurant, resort manager and all. Feel like I'm well pampered. All the best and hope the situation will improve soon in Sri Lanka. See you next time!

Three days before our trip, our AirBnB in Wadduwa was cancelled by the owner, apartment not ready ? so we quickly had to find an alternative. We booked this Ayurveda Resort in the hope that it would provide a week of relaxation, it certainly did!! The food was wonderful, all vegetarian apart from one meat and one fish meal per week, no alcohol, ? but it was great. All other holiday makers were there purely for the Ayurvedic Cure/Treatments, we saw the doctor and after our personal consultation with him, we decided only to take two treatments each, which were honestly wonderful!! But not ‘our thing’ for every day. We were not made to feel bad, or pressured at all, The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, helpful and caring. Would certainly recommend this place as a tonic and a rest and recuperation break. The beach just outside the garden was totally unspoilt with local fishermen bring g in their catch (and being glad of only help) every other day as they sang and encouraged each other. This felt like real Sri Lanka!

Simplicity and style in spacious surroundings are what awaits you in the luxury rooms and suite at Maresia Beach Villa. Offering a wide range of facilities, it leaves you spoilt for choices.
We booked 4 rooms at this villa on a full board basis and it was very secluded and private,we had the whole place to ourselves .The rooms were tidy and upto the standard and very comfortable, however we were promised a set menu of food and some of the items in the menu which were promised was not prepared for us during our stay at the villa , the quantity of most of the items on the menu for our lunch and breakfast was not satisfactory and we had to request the kitchen to prepare more, the management and staff was quite friendly and welcoming ,they made sure our stay was comfortable but the only issue we had was the food because it did not meet the standards for the price we paid.
