Horseback riding vacations and more: Enjoy gracious living on a private coffee estate between Sao Paulo and Londrina in southern Brazil. Accommodation includes all activities: unlimited horseback riding on excellent Mangalarga and Lusitano horses, kayaking on the river, nature walks, fishing, and swimming. The main house has a pool, cool verandas, and all meals are locally grown and prepared. We are a coffee, cattle, hay, and sheep farm run by a Brazilian/American family.
Amazing experience in a spectacular setting
Reviewed By RongauldWe visited Fazenda Laranjal in March: we had been once before and vowed to return and we will again! Judy runs her amazing home as a welcoming and comfortable place to enjoy riding and working with horses in a natural setting. This is no "dude ranch" where you dress up and pretend to be cowboys! The accommodation is not luxurious but is comfortable with large rooms and wide verandahs. The food is spectacular, all home made (cheeses, butter, bread, preserves) and freshly prepared. No fast food here thank goodness. The ranch is set in a beautiful valley bounded by coffee and sugar cane plantations and a large lake formed by a hydro dam. We rode twice daily and assisted with rounding and corralling horses. The riding is very varied, from leisurely hacks through the beautiful countryside and expeditions to watch the capybara which live in the area, or an exhilarating gallop along the disused airstrip. Judy is a marvellous hostess, considerate and welcoming. We will be back.

We run a small and lovely spot at Ilha do Mel, a wonderful island in Brazilian Coast which has a huge forest reserve, protected by the Government, inhabitants and tourists of this paradise. Our beaches are marvelous, with light sand, hot water, good waves and incredible views. This is a hot spot for surfers, nature lovers, adventurers, romantics and all those who seek tranquility, fun and nature.

Fomos até a pousada no domingo para passar um dia com as crianças, Lá tem piscina,parque infantil, mas o que nós chamou a atenção foi passeio a cavalo. Minha filha é apaixonada por cavalos e lá conseguiu realizar o sonho de andar a cavalo. Fizemos uma trilha por 40 minutos e meio a vegetação do local.

Reviewed By JMag2015On one of the best sections of the beach but still easy to walk to, we had a great stay, really impressed by the standard of the rooms and breakfast, very tranquil location and staff keen to help out.
