The town, nestled on a high sloping hillside, retains much of its picturesque medieval aspect. It hosts the University of Urbino, founded in 1506, and is the seat of the Archbishop of Urbino. Its best-known architectural piece is the Palazzo Ducale, rebuilt by Luciano Laurana.

Spending the day with Annarita was absolutely incredible. Her knowledge of and passion for this magnificent part of history is unmatched. We enjoyed the tour with the beautiful views. Even tough we’re not real bikers, the tour was easy for everyone. The wine tasting was wonderful. We had an excellent tour trough the wine yards and tasted very good wines. We bought some wines for a very good price. This was an amazing experience!! Thank you for the good service.

We stayed in the Agriturismo Terracruda for one week with a group of friends with kids and the experience was incredible. They have 4 complete apartments very well decorated and on top there is a common kitchen and a wonderful garden with a pool. When you are outside you see the wine yards and the mountains. As the Agriturismo is inside the winery we also did some wine tastings and visited to the wine cellar and yards as they were running a special event in that week. It was spectacular and we really appreciated their wines as well, specially the sparkling and the white ones. We were treated warmly and the owner Luca did above and beyond to prompt respond our requests. What could be improved is the disposition of the common kitchen and the air conditioner that is not strong enough to serve all the rooms as the apartments are quite big. Anyway, we loved the experience and certainly we will try to come back!
