The Wausau Curling Center is the largest privately owned curling center in the United States and home to the Wausau Curling Club. We host 4 area high school curling teams as well as the oldest high school bonspiel and the Wisconsin State H.S. Curling Championships. The curling club has appx 500 members and has leagues for all ages and abilities running almost every day of the week from Oct thru March. The curling center is often busy with Learn2Curl clinics both public and private. It is wheelchair accessible and wheelchair curling is a growing offering. Our family has been visiting Granite Peak Skiing resort for the past 3 years now and can’t wait to go back. Just a 4 1/2 hour drive from Chicago it’s easy to to plan a last minute weekend outing. If you are looking for snow, it is the place to go all the way into April. The facility is clean with great staff and food. The rental equipment is top notch and the mountain is amazing. There are runs for all levels of skier. I would highly recommend this place for a fun family adventure.
