We were distressed to see the Southbroom beach washed away after heavy rains but were delighted to see that it’s back to its pristine best. There can’t be a more beautiful family friendly beach on the entire Kwa Zulu Natal coast. What a lovely atmosphere! One can chose to spread one’s towels on the gently sloping lawn or opposite the lagoon. This blue flag beach has excellent safety standards and the lifeguards are very pro active. The surfing is top notch and surfers and body- boarders can easily dive off the rocks to catch their next big waves instead of battling through the surf. There is also a safe tidal pool for the little ones. The Riptide Restsurant is right on the beach and offers excellent teas and light lunches and even early dinners in season.

This is a nicer, and quieter alternative to the popular Marina Beach. Pristine, unpoluted and beautiful. Nice barrells in the waves for surfers or bodyboarders. Lovely lagoon with diverse birdlife. We saw spoon-billed storks, African cormorants, African Darters, yellow billed storks, malachite kingfisher and Goliath Heron on one walk up lagoon drive.

Friendliest, best equipped & most Professional shop on whole coast, with fantastic attractive course, great club & wonderful staff
Relaxed 19th Hole experience, with light meals and snacks on the terrace overlooking the rolling golf course and the ocean beyond. Recommend the Four Ball Platter and the calamari for shared snack, Full English to get the day started right and the Sunday Roast as great value for money.

The San Lameer Estate is the most sought-after golf estate resort and is the only estate that has direct access onto 2 blue flag beaches in SA! The San Lameer Estate was the very first Golfing Estate developed in South Africa!
Great food, great service.. Well kept ⛳. We had breakfast here the morning after mums 60th ????. It was reasonably priced and catered for all. Clean surroundings and good food. All round 5 ????. Staff just need to remember not all black people speak the local languages default should be English unless customers switches to venecular. This can be frustrating for other visitors from greater Africa.
