We provide hiking and mountain biking tours across the Highlands of Scotland, but often based in the Cairngorms National park where we have our own home base at Fraoch Lodge. We offer day hikes and camping trips all year round, and also skills courses if you are not so confident about heading out into the hills on your own. We often combine hiking tours with more cultural activities like visiting a distillery or Loch Ness.

We hire Land Rover Defenders complete with roof tents and with all the equipment you need for a true overland adventure in the Scottish Highlands. Hiring a Defender with a roof is undoubtedly one of the very best ways to explore the furthest reaches of northern Scotland. Stop whenever and wherever you like, simply pop the tent up in 60 seconds and that is you for the night. Our roof tents even have a stargazing window for those cloudless night skies. Our complete camping kits include sleeping equipment, cooking equipment, cleaning equipment and much more. We can even deliver your Defender to you. For more information, please visit our website.
My wife and I have just returned from a 7 day trip around the NC500 on the B roads. This was a an exceptional holiday, not just the scenery but also the quality of service from booking to handing back the vehicle. The 4x4's are maintained really well and all the camping gear is in excellent condition. We couldn't fault any part of the trip and are looking forward to booking in the near future. Thank you

Fantastic bike hire today from the guys at Ride. Parents with teenagers 15/17. Easy free parking on the other side of the train station. Brilliant bikes for the varied woodland trails and off-road paths nearby - Focus hardtail MTBs with fat tyres and great gears. Helmets, locks and repair kit included. Very friendly and helpful with good advice on the routes, a free area map and a laminated sheet with the woodland trails clearly mapped.

I provide guided journeys through the Cairngorm mountains, helping you to interpret the natural environment and cultural heritage in safety. A day may start amongst the Scots Pine remnants of the once vast Caledonian forest, before climbing a granite mountain shaped by glaciers to reach the wilderness of the vast boulder strewn summit plateau. Or you may prefer to trace the route of one of the historic drove roads which run through the mountains, dissecting the landscape which has inspired generations of artists and writers. On any given day you’re likely to encounter some of the incredible wildlife which inhabit the park, much of it of international significance, and see signs of the social history of the land. I tailor the journey around your objectives. Maybe you want to bag a specific remote munro, seek out the best spots to photograph the magnificent landscapes, or explore sites of historical note.

This picturesque championship golf course is one of the best known courses in the Scottish Highlands.
We were staying in Boat of Garden and went here for coffee and homemade cakes/scones. It was lovely and views are second to none. Also has full bar for non members. The millionaire shortbread was the best I've ever had.....and I've had a few!!!
