We popped into Sawmills on our way home on the off chance that we could get a table as we had been unable to book online due to poor internet connectivity. Beth greeted us as we exceptionally polite, helpful and informative. She found us a table very quickly and took us to it. We were greeted by her colleague who promptly took our drinks order and explained the food ordering process to us. Scanning the barcode on the table and looking at the menu online, on your own phone keeps contact with others to a minimum. Great shout Sawmills ???????? We chose our food and were not disappointed. The cheesy (to share) nachos were not only generous in portion size but accompanied by guacamole, sour cream, salsa plus the usual toppings and mountains of cheesy. Being vegetarian can sometimes be a struggle eating out especially during these difficult times so when my vegan chilli arrived I couldn’t have been happier. The presentation and quantity were excellent and the taste outstanding. Hats off to the chef, amazing - thank you. My partner had the burger with all the trimmings and said it was delicious. We wish we had stumbled across your pub earlier into our honeymoon as we would have eaten with you almost every day. Staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble and despite their young years they were all extremely responsible in ensuring that their customers needs were met. Well done all of you 10/10

we visited in late July 2020 very pleased to see all the staff were adhering to the new rules.We both had the hot sourdough sandwiches which were amazing also the homemade chips. Great value as they are also giving customers the new VAT relief highly recommended!
