We visited Moila top this June. We booked a cab from Dehradun. The destination is around 120 km from Dehradun . We started at 7 AM with family including parents , Children and couple. There was secenic beauty almost everywhere on the way. We reached Chakrata at around 10 am . There were a few restaurants. We had our breakfast, took some pictures and departed. We really enjoyed the journey normally it is difficult to travel in hill areas but it was bearable because of greenery and scenic beauty everyone enjoyed a lot We reached Himalyan view resort at noon. It is in Lokhandi. We took some rest and then started for Moila top. This place was around 5 km from resort. 2.5 km from car and 2-3 Km trekking . Trekking was also great we also had elder citizens with us which made it was slightly difficult for us.It you have eldery people with you carry a cane it will help them to walk ... There are trees and plants everywere along the way. The top was cold, however the journey was not tiring. The top was beautiful and I was speechless after seeing it. The view from the top is a must see for every nature lover. We took photograph enjoyed cool air and beauty of this place ... It took 45 mins to come down ..then we went to resort ...the resort was very small there were hardly 6 rooms but was comfortable stay ..The owner of the resort was very good and helping ..he arranged tea , pakoda and delicious dinner for us (both veg and non veg). Night was so cool ..thank god we kept woolen cloths with us... Morning we had breakfast and visited tiger fall ..nice waterfall.....we enjoyed water there and then return to Dehradun The overall experience was awesome ...We will definetly visit this place again..

There are amazing views in this beautiful wooded park in including The Himalayas. There is also a very special viewpoint called Flag Hill which is adorned with Tibetan flags and where you make a wish or blessing. Wear hiking boots. Although the trail is not too tough there are stones underfoot & you need to have a good grip. Definitely go with a guide. Ours brought binoculars and pointed out some of the rare birds & showed us footage from the hidden cameras that showed a leopard in the same spot as we were only hours before!

We loved our day at Benog. It is a wonderful place for birdwatching. We could see some beautiful Himalayan Birds. The walk is quite pleasant and the landscape is great.
