Matsimae Puhajarv is a lake in Jarva County which is 5.5 hectares in area and 8.1 metres deep. The eastern shore of the lake is sandy, and here you will find a State Forest Management Centre recreation area and campsite. The rest of the lake is surrounded by bogs and pine trees. A hiking trail measuring 7.5 km starts (and ends) here that leads to Simisalu. The trail boasts excellent views over the diverse landscape of the Korvemaa area.
Rava oak grove in Jarva County was placed under protection as early as 1936 in order to preserve the local flora, which is rich in species. The grove covers 22 hectares and features 92 protected ancient oak trees, 16 large larch trees and a pine tree which is several hundred years old. The 2.5-hectare lake by the oak grove offsets it beautifully and is a lovely place to relax and take a swim. You can also barbecue here.
In Jarvamaa, in Prandi Village there is a 1.4 ha lake of springs, a spring 40 metres in diameter and a small lake, 1.5 m deep with a limestone bottom. There are many spring outlets in the Prandi lake of springs and the output of water can be up to 100 litres per second during high water periods. A nature study trail goes along on the shore of lake Prandi. There's also a picnic spot with a bonfire site and the Prandi Village Centre and square owned by the Prandi Village Society. Prandi village was awarded the Village of the Year title in 2011.
There are 11 groups of springs with almost 40 springs in the western part of Endla Nature Reserve. These springs are rich in water and start on the slopes of Pandivere Highlands. Interesting facts: The measurements taken at Nora Spring in 1936 gave a surprising result – 360 litres of water flowed out of the spring per second, which equals 36 full buckets per second. The opening where Sopa Spring starts is 6 metres in diameter and 4.8 metres deep. Wooden foot bridges have been built on the Oostriku Spring to give people a better view of the spring.
