The Barony Rosendal offers guided tours, art exhibitions, concerts, theatre in the Court Yard and lectures. A guided tour at Baroniet Rosendal is a tour through different epochs. The rooms are influenced by owners over 250 years, and the manor is preserved as a home – the way it was when the last owners left in 1927. The Folgefonn centre opens in May 2017. Here you will find an exciting exhibition on the nature around Folgefonna glacier, the Hardangerfjord and how climate changes affect us here. Situated on the southern shore of the beautiful Hardangerfjord in Hordaland County, Folgefonna National Park boasts one of Norway's largest glaciers. In words and stunning images, our website tells you about the glacier and how ice sculpted the fjords and surrounding landscape. We'll show you great cultural attractions and scenic highlights, point out hiking trails that take you there, give details about guided glacier treks, kayaking beneath ice falls, and much more.

We have long traditions in shipbuilding in Kvinnherad. Round the year 1900 there were no less than 325 places registered in our municipality where boats were built. Among the many boats that are built here, we find the Gjoa. This vessel was built in Rosendal in connection with Roald Amundsen`s plans to sail through the North-Western Passage (1903 - 06). Skaaluren Skipsbyggeri in Rosendal is the yard in Norway that has the longest tradition within shipbuilding. The yard started its history in 1855. It kept and maintained tools and models used during the boat-building. These are now displayed at the Skaaluren collection, which is to be found in the Folgefonn centre.
Bygdetunet Rod is situated in Uskedalen a village 8 miles from Rosendal. The collection contains several buildings and more than 1500 items. The Farm Museum consists of dwelling, storehouse, stables, smithy and mill house, dating back to the 1700s. The Farm Museum also has a cooper's workshop at the fjord.
