This museum houses a lot of our towns rare artifacts. I was very impressed with so many articles. One has to go upstairs to see all of them. As my grandmother Hickey worked here, I was very interested in the old pictures, however, I did not see her in any of them. I was also acting as Sir Charles Tupper on one occasion and his hope was on Victoria St. in Amherst.

The Nova Scotia Highlanders Regimental Museum was founded in the 1986 by our curator, C.W.O Ray Coulson. As a retired NCO who served in the reserves for many years, Ray has a passion for and a drive to preserve the history of the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, also known as the North Novies. He has been running this museum with a couple volunteers here and there for 35+ years, all on his own time. The museum is home to artifacts from the First and Second World Wars, as well as various military uniforms and collectibles from all over the world. Here at the museum, we will also do our best to assist anyone who is attempting to do research on a North Novie (or a member of the 85th battalion, or any veteran really!). We are a non-profit, and run solely on donations. (Admission: Donation)
