All rooms Recently renovated. Sleeping units have bar fridge, microwaves and coffee makers. Kitchen units are full kitchens and are fully equipped. Close to main shopping area
Rustic but I was expecting that based on other reviews. The room was a nice size. Large bathroom with a window so there was lots of natural light. Window was appreciated because there was an overpowering smell of old cigarette smoke in the room. Asked to be assigned a different room but we were told they were fully booked. We were able to air it out a bit with the window in the bathroom on the back side of the room and the window on the front in the main part of the room. Disappointed that a non smoking facility (signs all over the property stating that it is non smoking) would have rooms that smelled like they’d been smoked in everyday for the last twenty years. Will stay somewhere else if we return to Cranbrook.

The entrance to the hotel is not well marked, the outside of the hotel is dark, and the parking lot is poorly lit which can be dangerous in these winter conditions. The hotel seems to be using Covid as a reason to not re open their pools yet every other hotel in Cranbrook has their pools open again. The continental breakfast bar is still closed and they offer a bagged breakfast where we were given extremely bruised bananas and squished muffins with a juice box. The rooms were tidy, the t.vs could be on a higher stand or mounted onto the wall for more comfortable viewing, the water was very brownish when I attempted to fill the tub for my toddler to have a bath. The hotel is located just when you come into Cranbrook so it is a drive to any restaurants or entertainment. I have stayed here before and enjoyed the hotel so was really disappointed this time around.

The owner of the place was very friendly and helpful . The room was very clean. Location is excellent, walkable to the centre of the city. We had a nice dinner: thanks to the owner advice where to go for it. Overall, excellent experience and great deal. Highly recommended!

On saturday evening I booked a room by myself at the Cranbrook motel6. I do not have a credit card so I paid the 200$ deposit instead. It was very loud there and the bed, bedding and pillows were clearly old and we'll used but I didn't complain. I actually decided to stay a second night as I had a friend in town and they had time to visit with me, so for 20$ more than I paid the previous night for the same room, I also stayed Sunday night. It's hard for me to share this, but how I was treated was so wrong, I have to share. While sleeping I got my period and was unaware until morning. Some blood got on the sheets, not much but a little so before the hotel owner did his inspection I wrapped the blanket up to avoid feeling embarrassed. He not only opened the sheets and spread them out on the bed, but then came to the lobby screamed at me that there was blood on his blankets and I needed to come see, but also took me back to the room where he told me how disgusting it was and that I had to pay for all the bedding. He also yelled at me because I used a facecloth to wash my makeup off with and there was make up on it. He threw that at me and told me I could keep it cause he can't use it now. I was very upset but I tried to explain to him that it would come out in cold water no problem, that it was from my period, that it's not something I meant to happen and he told me I shouldn't have stayed there if I had my period. He gave me 150$ of my 200$ and told me if I had a problem with that to get in touch with head office. This is unacceptable. It's degrading, it's embarrassing and I was left in tears, traumatized by what had happened. There was nothing professional about how it was handled and to have to explain my menstrual mishap to man telling me it's gross is just wrong on so many levels. I have emailed head office and they have not gotten back to me. I will never go there again.

We loved the customer service so much! The people were so lovely. Sadly, the room was in much disrepair. The bed almost flipped over when we sat on the end, the floors were lifting and uneven, the kitchen was sketchy, and there was blood from who knows where on the bedsheets. If the room was as awesome as the customer service, this would be a different story.
