Pensacola Beach is the main attraction on this island.
The drive between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach is a wonderful and restful cruise along the coast. Pull over into the access points and you have miles of white sand and green water with hardly any people. If people are what you want, go to Pensacola Beach or Navarre Beach. For history.... Fort Pickens is your place. Santa Rosa Island is a great place to get away

A historical area with beautiful beaches.
The BEST beaches in the state as far as I am concerned. Plenty of parking, clear water and miles of gulf to walk or swim. There was plenty of room to social distance. If you come in from downtown Pensacola you will be charged $1 to get across the bridge.

Great beach vibe! We were in town for a beach wedding. We enjoyed our time on the beautiful beach and loved the pool grotto bar. We will definitely come back for another visit very soon!

Rented a boat to visit Shell Island, what a day!!! We had such a great time exploring the Bay and the island. We walked to the gulf side of the island and had such an amazing time. We stopped several places along the island and went crabbing, found sand dollars, swam with dolphins and got to see F-22 Raptors take off from Tyndall AFB, along with C-130's who did a couple wing dips to us as we waved at them. The island itself is so beautiful, an untouched place that retains a super laid back feel. No restaurants, no boardwalks, no bars, no noise (except jets, which are bad ass). Also met some real cool folks and talked and had a super relaxing day.
