It's just a short walk from the ferry to your Inn where Vineyard charm is blended into a Martha's Vineyard hotel. Inside Mansion House Inn, guests get a touch of seaside elegance with a taste of Island casual. Each guest is treated to free use of the pool, spa and health club. The harbor viewing cupola is a special place to bring take-out or a drink while viewing the sail boats, ferry and harbor lights. Mansion House offers 48 rooms and suites. Some deluxe rooms and suites offer soaking tubs, fireplaces and balconies with views of Vineyard Sound. A limited number of Pet friendly rooms offer easy first floor access, town view balconies and two double beds. From romantic couples, families to small meetings, the Inn staff takes care of your vacation needs. The best of the Vineyard is within easy walking distance. Movies, indoor and outdoor restaurants, live theater, art galleries, and public beaches are a short stroll from Mansion House's door. Day sails on vessels great and small, kayak, public bus transportation and bicycle rentals are only a block away. One of several Vineyard golf courses, Mink Meadows, is a quick five-minute taxi or drive. Mansion House's concierge can assist with arranging all these activities. Though off-street parking is available, there's no great need to bring a car. Relax in the Day Spa or enjoy the beach, create a family reunion or event, Mansion House Inn offers great Vineyard value.
We thoroughly enjoyed a two night stay at the Mansion House. We arrived early, after walking 5 minutes from the ferry, and were happily surprised to hear that our room was ready. You get a walk-to-everything, in-town location. Our top floor king room was attractive, spacious, clean, functional and comfortable. Best of all it offered a view of the harbor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are extra’s here including a parking pass if you bring a car and a very well equipped health club/spa which is also open to the community (far superior than what you'd expect in a small hotel). A really nice (spectacular in good weather) rooftop deck, open to all guests, features complimentary lemonade, many seating arrangements and a 360 degree view. Mansion House provides a complimentary continental breakfast, perfectly adequate though (here comes a small nitpick) nothing special or quite up to the level of other similar hotels. That said we really liked the Mansion House and would recommend it highly.

We took this trip to the Vineyard at the end of April to avoid the crowds and had a great time. This motel is pretty basic but it had everything we needed. We stayed in room 236 and we had two adjustable beds, table, chairs, stove, microwave, fridge and a small couch and chairs. The outside of the building needs a bit of curb appeal but it was quiet and priced right.

Located on a quiet residential side street just 4 house lots from the water. Close to everything yet much quieter than other locations. Comfortable, casual and convenient. We have views toward the harbor. We are a 2 minute walk back to town. We have a golf course (9 holes) 2 miles up the road. Great running for distance runners, 5 K course mapped out. Vineyard Haven is no longer dry. Wine and Beer and alcohol with a meal is available. Beach towels provided. Laundry for a fee. An amazing homemade breakfast with fresh scones, muffins or croissants. Try the incredible yogurt parfaits and see if you can guess the ingredients. Your breakfast isn't complete without one of Jeff's sandwiches or world famous egg wraps. We would be surprised if you ate lunch that day as breakfast is filling and taste so good.
I fly private jets and happen to have an overnight on Martha’s Vineyard island. This property was highly recommended by the General aviation operators at the airport. This property what is the typical New England bed-and-breakfast you would expect however the owners of the property were exceptionally helpful and very pleasant. The rooms were pleasant and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. They had an open bar and honor system so you could fix yourself an adult beverage and then just put a little cash in the drawer. I found it very comfortable and they also had the most delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies out for you to enjoy. The owners also provided the very best breakfast burrito I have ever had. They asked when we were departing in they had it ready for us to take with us exactly the time we had stated for our departure. I’ll be coming back for a personal visit next month and to bring my wife and family. By the way you do not need a car, it’s just a five minute walk to the beach and Harper. A 10 minute walk to all kinds of shopping and great restaurants. The owners suggested we eat at the Black Dog restaurant and was amazing.

When we checked into The 1720 House, the caretaker told us we had a shared bathroom but never told us where the bathroom was. On the second day she yelled at us for using the wrong bathroom even though she never told us which bathroom to use. The sign on the bathroom we were supposed to use did not even say bathroom. Her rudeness to appropriately manage this issue was totally unacceptable.
