This is an inn of family features where care and concern for the customer are personalized; we have the format of a small hotel, having the possibility to accommodate sixteen passengers. We have to your disposal six twin bedrooms and one triple room, all of them with private bath. We count, on the first floor, with spaces for sharing and a comfortable and spacious dining room.
We stayed here twice for several days each time. It was the most relaxing place that we stayed in our 5 weeks in Chile and Argentina ( travelling from Australia). Eduardo was both most helpful and most pleasant as a host and to talk about traveling ideas. The hostel itself was very clean and neat with a beautiful comfortable common room with a large variety of interesting travel books. Eduardo was flexible in saving us when we had a booking difficulty. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to this Yendegaia House stay.

Lodging in a patrimonial house of the XIX century with six comfortable rooms in suite is a unique experience. You can enjoy the incomparable landscape of the pampas, to know about the farming activities and luxuriate with a good patagonian-style roast lamb or a local menu of house specialties. You will also know about the history and development of Tierra del Fuego and be part of the sheep shearing process in the biggest and most traditional shed in this region.
We loved every moment of our stay here and it was a true experience of complete escapism. No wifi, no television and not much around but sheep and stunning scenery. We had visited a King Penguin colony towards Cameron and this was very close by, making for an ideal location for an overnight stay. We felt bad for not speaking much Spanish as the gaucho hosts did not have much of a command of English either, but we got by and muddled through. We were made to feel very welcome and our room was charming, comfortable and cosy, complete with a fireplace which was lit after dinner. The grounds and immediate area were lovely for an afternoon walk, then we had a Pisco Sour on the enclosed verandah before dinner. The dinner itself was traditional lamb, which was delicious. Pisco by the fire before bed was blissful and we slept very well. Breakfast in the morning was simple but plentiful and tasty. This is by no means a cheap place to stay but we felt it was worth every penny, particularly for the luxurious ranch experience itself. We would love to return one day.

Parador Russfin is located in the Commune of Timaukel, which is in the center of Tierra del Fuego, an area that has a special interest for tourism due to its environment. Parador Russfin Hotel offers accommodations throughout the entire year for tourists and travelers who are looking for excursions and want to get to know the cultural routes, highlighting the following: Selk'nam Route, The Wetlands Route, The Ranch Route, Lumber Route, Lakes, Rivers and Forests Routes, The Gold and Oil Routes.
We had a very pleasant stay at Parador Russfin, located at the center of Tierra del Fuego. At arrival we felt sort of strange about the place at it is adjacent to a large sawmill. We were welcomed by Evelyn, who was a very proactive host (sent a whatsapp in advance of arrival) and service oriented at all times! Evelyn explained the sawmill was a certified sustainable industry overseen by a Swiss organization and local Conaf. That left us more or less at ease … as we are not for sawmills destroying native forests. The lodging is confortable and clean, with a wonderful guest room with tv and reading material on the Patagonia at the visitors disposal. In the morning breakfast was served there. Only coffee can be improved, was rather lousy (I love a strong coffee for breakfast). Lunch and dinner are available at the so-called ‘casino’ or cafeteria, very reasonably priced, with a fixed menu. Service was excellent: Evelyn helped us out with contacting our next lodging, providing us with useful orientation and help. A great host indeed!

Despite traveling in the main season, the Hotel was completely empty. It has the charm and concept of an American street side Motel. Room was clean. Breakfast was most probably the least appealing we had during our trip through Patagonia. Not a place we would suggest... but are there any in Porvenir
