Los Guardeses is a charming three-star hotel located in the village of Solares, not far away of Santander and very well comunicate with by motorway ( 15km.)The building was been built in XVII and offer a complety restoring, nowadays it is a nice hotel with a huge variety of facilities as a restaurant, bar, terrace, gardens, chapel, reception among others.The hotel has got 21 double rooms, suitable for any travel requirements. All rooms have been decorated in warm colours & have been equipped with all kind of facilities such as heater, TV, phone, internet access, work desk, inside bathroom with hairdryer & amenities among others.A special place to spend your holidays, business travel or even to celebrate your wedding because the fact that our restaurant can hold 250 people in “Buganvillas” Lunch room.

Reviewed By Jaime RLast minute overnight stay with my husband, daughter and dog before the Santander ferry to UK. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, we were told that there was a wedding and that there would be music til 1am but this was no problem, it sounded like a great party! The hotel grounds are beautiful and would be lovely to enjoy on a warm day, unfortunately for us it was raining. The hotel has some lovely features and is tastefully decorated in keeping with the old building but with a modern touch. Our room was extra clean, beds very comfortable and bathroom had everything we needed including toiletries. Breakfast was lovely, you could select sweet or savoury and this was all served by friendly staff. There is plenty of parking close by but as there was a wedding the hotel opened up their gates so we could park in the grounds incase we struggled to park close by, this was vey helpful. Oh Would definitely recommend and would stay again, thank you ?

Reviewed By TravelcookiecatOur room (with a spa access) was lovely and spacy, we really appreciated its “old” classical design & calming colours. The room was near a spa lift, so all we needed is just to put on our bathrobes and go downstairs?. The only minus – they didn’t have any electric kettle in the room, so it was a bit difficult to organize our daily herbal teas. The receptionists and the service team were simply exceptional: on the day of the arrival they were four times in our room, helping us with an unfamiliar safe system, different bed blankets, tissues… and everything with a sincere smile. Breakfast: freshly made smoothies and tomato spread, finest cured meats, different cheeses, tortilla, omelettes, fruit, vegetables, cava and some other nice extras at the weekend:)... The spa pool - water was nice and clear, but sometimes overchlorinated. The pool was often busy (especially at the weekend), but there were gaps - directly after the breakfast, 13.00-14.00 & and 19.00-21.00. Various hydromassage beds. Local mineral water, different kinds of tea and towels were included. There are also many beautiful natural parks and walking areas in the vicinity. And, by the way, there’s a mineral water spring directly opposite to the spa entrance, the locals take water there every day at certain hours and it’s very tasty.

Reviewed By danism92Buen Hospedaje por un muy buen precio. Habitacion limpia, baño privado y una cama. Mas que suficiente para una noche de paso. Recomendable al 100%. Hay buen aparcamiento en la zona, incluso enfrente dispone de un buen parking.

Great family type typical Spanish food
Reviewed By Aba1968I have been going to Casa Enrique so many years that i cannot remember when i tried the first time, my parents took me as a child. I now return at least once a year when i am in Santander with the new and younger additions to the family. Always good quality and great service from owner and staff. The ‘carico beans’ (alubias pintas) is a must that i ne er grow tired of!
