We booked an overnight stay on our way from Oslo to Loen. The receptionist wasn't aware that we were coming even though we booked the room approx one month in advance. We got a room and after struggeling our suitcase upstairs by a narrow staircase we could check into a room that was really air trapped. When we opened the windows the traffic sound was loud. And believe it or not, this is a hotel in the middle of nowhere. The wifi didn't work properly, but we weren't there for the internet connection ?♀️ We took a shower before dinner. Nice, but a cold and small bathroom. The dinner was a set 3 course menu. The entre was some lettuce leaves with a couple of cured ham slices, the main was salmon with a no taste pea puré and cold potatoes complimented by a Hollandaise sauce that most likely was store bought. The dessert was some bits of fruits which they called a fruit salad. Gordon Ramsey, if you are reading this, this is a candidate for Hotel Hell. They had every opportunity to make it special, but couldn't bother the effort. The bar and bartender were the highlights. But we took an early evening looking forward to the breakfast ? But no. They served cold cuts, cheese and spreads dumped out of their packages on to some plates. The bread was store bought. The Coffee was brewed Coffee standing on some heating plates and the omelette had a metallic taste with a spungy consistency. We paid 1800 NOK for the room and breakfast. And 1300 (450×2 for dinner) for the food with drinks. Was it worth it? Absolutely not. The only feeling we're left with is the regret that we didn't just drive the last hour down to Loen.

Herlig og avslappende sted med nydelige omgivelser. Rommet var romslig og koselig innredet. Sengene var fantastiske å sove i. Rent og fint. De ansatte var veldig imøtekommende og vennlige. God mat på restauranten! Toalettene og dusjene var rene og delikate.

Nice and cosy hotel with good local food. Quiet rooms with waterfall view. Hiking, trout fishing, rafting and moose safaris. Built in 1889, last renovation in 2009, all 26 rooms with shower/toilet. Small museum onsite with carriages and horse outfit. Close to Geiranger (55 kms.) and Lom 940 kms.). This is the driest area in Norway, perfect in the autumn for mushrooms and berries.
In our tour to Norway we had a one night stay here. Hotel looks ok, just like a rustic accomodation. No elevator, minimum furniture, minimum everything. We had also dinner here as there is no other premises near by , hotel just like a stop on the road. In the back there is a very nice waterfall.

Dette var helt perfekt for oss! Etter en lang kjøretur og varierende steder hvor overnatting ikke ver fint, var dette perfekt! Velutstyrt, godt kjøkken med alt! Inkl oppvaskmaskin. God plass og gode senger. Lå idyllisk til. Superfint og veldig godt kjøkken! Tommel opp for apple-tv

We(with 3 year old kid) only stayed for 1 night in Quadruple room with private bathroom.Clean small cabin.Little kitchen but the pots and pans available in the kitchen were very old. No -stick pans coating was gone .They should provide a good usable pots and pans for the guest considering Norway is so expensive and travelers mostly cook .There was a cafe close to our cabin but didn't try that. The time we arrived the process of getting key was quick and they provided us the info to pay extra for linen. There is a nice open area behind our cabin and it was good for my little one to run around. There was no air con in our cabin luckily it was not very warm.
