Fabulous place , lovely to be back after the pandemic restrictions. Kathrin & Tarkan have improved the already great place it is . We found the food has improved on the already high standards they had . Diving here at the Critters Dive Centre is easy and hassle free . Nothing is too much trouble , helping make it easier . Fabulous that you can take your tanks in the water to put on and remove likewise in the water on return. We back sufferer’s appreciate the help . Removing your fins in the water for you as well ….superb service!. All of the Resort staff are so good and helpful and it was great to see a number of familiar faces had remained employed through the pandemic. We stayed in the cliff side villa which is the ultimate in luxury, privacy and comfort. You get your own butler !! It’s a fabulous place to watch the sunrise and sunsets over the volcanoes from your own infinity pool. We love it and it’s our third stay in the same villa. Lembeh straits on top of all this has the one of the best dive areas in the world !! What more can you ask for . It’s not so much muck diving as Macro critter plethora . Thank you everyone , you’re doing a fantastic job . Keep it up Dr Jennifer Birdi & Mr Pushp Birdi

Beautiful calm resort with great sunrises

I have only stayed in Two Fish Lembeh briefly as I had time limitations. The staff is very friendly, the equipment is in good shape and the resort itself is beautiful, very relaxing and with a private beach. The dive masters were profesional and patient with some divers who had cameras. The managers are making sure diving and covid safety are their priority. Books for identification of little critters are available and the team loves to hang out in the eve! Thank you for a great short stay!

Italy meets Indonesia in an exclusive slice of paradise

We spent 1 week at Kalinaun as a family (2 parents, 2 small kids ages 2 and 5, granny and uncle) and it is absolutely magical. The view over the beach to the sea and mountains/jungle is magnificent. The locals’ fishing boats on the left hand side add to the charm. The beach is exceptionally quiet with the only people we met being the locals when then were going out fishing. The bay in front on Kalinaun becomes very shallow at low tide which our kids loved as sand “treasure islands” appeared where they could play games, build sandcastles etc. We went snorkeling directly in front of Kalinaun at high tide which was very nice but our absolute favorite spot was about 15-20 minutes walk to the right which Christine (more about her in a moment) told us about. You walk down the beach, walk across a river (or swim at high tide) and get to a brilliant turquoise section of water where there are many large coral structures and masses of fish. There are multiple very large anemones housing more clownfish than I ever saw before. We loved snorkeling here, including our small kids and their granny. The water was so calm and clear. As we were here with our kids, we just did a few dives. The diving is easy as you just walk into the shallow water out front of the resort and get into the boat which will take you to a nearby dive site. There were plenty of fascinating little critters (my first time muck diving) pointed out by our host as well as bigger fish and attractive coral. Seeing Pygmy seahorse for the first time and the huge variety of critters was amazing. My brother saw a shark on one of his dives. The resort itself is very attractive, with only 4 beachfront rooms/villas and with hammocks and sun loungers in front of them. The rooms are large, bathrooms also and everything is furnished attractively to a high standard. The rooms were kept very clean with the large in room fridge replenished with water, soft drinks and beer (all included in the price). The food here is lovely. Being located in North Sulawesi, in a relatively remote location, we thought perhaps the food would be nothing special. We were wrong. The food was great. It is prepared freshly by one of the owners (Roby, an Italian man) with his team. Lots of delicious Italian food (lasagne, pasta, risotto, meat dishes) and bread was available, as well as very tasty local dishes. There is as much food as you want and you can arrange for multiple courses. Breakfast is an Italian affair with coffee, cakes (yummy) and fruits (from the garden, also yummy). For lunch and dinner you pre order from the menu. The dining area is outside but undercover. There was a pleasant breeze and a decking area without cover which the kids loved exploring and seeing the stars from. It is a piece of paradise on earth. The staff were brilliant. The owners (2 Italian brothers) spoke with us regularly and attended to any concerns very quickly. Christine, a young local woman whom they are training to be front of house staff is an absolute delight. She is friendly, warm, perceptive, diligent and fantastic with adults and kids alike. She speaks multiple languages and always makes sure she has understood you (no nodding and smiling without having any idea what you said). Our kids absolutely adored her as she played and interacted with them so nicely. As there are only 4 rooms/villas, the staff are very attentive and make you feel special. Despite Kalinaun being located in a remote part of the world, it is relatively easy to get to with flights from Singapore (can fly London Heathrow to Singapore with a connecting flight to Manado) and flights from Jakarta. Then by arrangement Kalinaun staff can collect you and drive you for 1-1.5 hours to the resort. Easy. There were lovely special touches from the staff throughout our stay which made us feel so welcome and cared for. If you are looking for somewhere beautiful, off the beaten track, with lovely snorkeling and diving plus great food, this is the place for you.
