We’re located approximately 45 driving minutes from Reykjavik, 70 driving minutes from Keflavik Airport and only 8 driving minutes from the ringroad at Hveragerdi. With good food, loads of nature, and plenty of picture opportunities outside. There are also tons of day trip options if that’s your thing. Just pop over to the front desk, and we’ll point you in the right direction.
A nice clean hotel, in an extremely peaceful setting

It's unfortunate that coming out of Covid, there were only three room occupied on the night we stayed. We only hope that they can ride through this and offer the same hospitality that we enjoyed. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was extensive. There is a free hot tub. What more do you need?

Hjardarbol guesthouse is a family business. Located in a very nice spot, midway between Hveragerdi and Selfoss, only 95 km from Keflavik airport, by the roots of Ingolfsfjall. Large trees surround the guesthouse which creates comfortable and exciting environment. We have 24 rooms of all shapes and sizes, f.e. large and comfortable family rooms, spacious double rooms with or without bathrooms. We also offer a large an comfortable house which is very suitable for large groups.

Reviewed By EdK59This has been our third visit to the Hjardarbol Guesthouse in SE Iceland and as always, it has been an absolutely magnificent visit. The hospitality experienced at this guesthouse is second to none. The rooms proved to be just right for our group of 30 boys and 4 adults. The rooms are comfortable, cosy and the shower facilities superb. The boys all thought that it was great and suitable for them to enjoy a good night's sleep after an energetic day out exploring all of the wonderful sights on SE Iceland. The food was superb and the boys thought that the relaxed atmosphere and the brilliant service from the family that run the place deserved special mention. The dining facility and the lounge area alongside was well used - a good place to sit an relax in the evenings. The two resident dogs are so friendly and kid-friendly. The two canines gave our boys a run for their money. All in all, thank you again for a wonderful visit to your guesthouse.

Reviewed By TeamlykkeAn overnight stay at Hótel Eldhestar in a room for 4 people. We stayed in the annex opposite the hotel. The annex is right next to the horse stable, so it was super cozy. We have booked with own shower and toilet, but in the annex there are only rooms with shared shower and toilet and kitchen facilities. However, we were the only guests, so that was fine. The room was simple with 4 beds and a sink and good with closet space. Neat and clean both in the room and in common areas. Coffee and tea available. Hótel Eldhestar is close to the Golden Circle and is a good starting point if you want to go on a trip. Parking both at the hotel and the annex. Nice breakfast.

Nice and cheap place to stay
Reviewed By ElinamicOur room at Black Beach Guesthouse was modern and had everything we needed (even a small fridge), even though it was a bit small (and we even got the larger room). The bathroom was a bit small too but it was clean nevertheless. The only downside was the rather big step you had to make to get in and out of the shower. The guesthouse does not have any stuff you get in and out of the building using lock pads. This is the same for the rooms too. There is parking right in front of the building. However, there was no lift and we had to carry our bags from the stairs and through some heavy doors. The location is ok. There weren't many things in the area but the guesthouse is in close proximity to other towns like Selfoss.

Reviewed By Sven SEs ist absolut ruhig in der Gegend und man ist zentral zu vielen Ausflugszielen. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet - Eier schmecken hervorragend von der Gastgeberin. Die Ausritte haben eine gute Länge. Wir haben es absolut genossen.
