Beautiful place
Reviewed By DanielnordtorpThis hotel is located in the middle of amazing scenery in valdres. The food was absolutely amazing and the view stunning! The rooms are not the most modern, but your not there to stay in. Would absolutely recommend going here. We went to a wedding and everything was just beautiful. Thank you for having us.

Fagernes Campingpark is an all-year 4 star camping site idyllically located by the Strandefjorden and surrounded by evergreen pine trees. The Storoya peninsula with Valdres Folk Museum is our nearest neighbour. High quality cabins and apartments, beautiful camping site for caravans, camper vans and tents. Playground, beach, boat hire and fishing.

Reviewed By Lou1337What a spot! Beautiful location and cabins. I was upgraded for free as a premium cabin was vacant. Quiet, warm, excellent facilities and walking distance to Fagernes. Own beach and everything. Fantastic campsite

Reviewed By PFS0709We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights and had dinner every night. I am almost lost for words the quality of what we got was unbelivable. Everything local and ok priced. TOP service. I will be back love it ??

Reviewed By Lone JJeg, min søster og vores forældre fejrede nytår på Danebu Kongsgaard med 4 overnatninger. Jeg kan varmt anbefale dette fjeld hotel. Her emmer det at hygge, som de selv siger, ”det er bare koselig”. Servicen er i top. Maden er lækker og tilberedt med kærlighed og der er rigeligt af det. Anretningen i sig selv er en fryd for øjet. Der bliver brugt lokale råvarer, så som fisk, æg, honning, Fjellgris og meget mere. Der ligger super gode langrandsruter lige ved hotellet og skiliften er ikke længere væk end man kan gå der til. Hvis man ikke er til ski, så er det også et fantastisk område at gå i. Når man har været ude i den dejlige friske norske luft, kan jeg varmt anbefale pejsestuen, som er det perfekte sted at benytte sig af. Prøv en varm kakao med fløde og en kanelsnurre, som i øvrigt er leveret fra den lokale bager, nyde udsigten og ilden fra den åbne pejs, så kan det ikke blive meget bedre. Jeg glæder mig til, at komme på besøg igen.

A bed for the night, and food in the morning, but that's just about it.
Reviewed By worldauditOK, so you get a bed for the night, food and coffee in the morning ?, but that's just about it. Fagerlund is an old hotel located in the middle of Fagernes. Easy accessible, and it have a large parkinglot, free of charge. Friendly service minded staff. A short walk (2 min )to the beaches of Steandafjorden (Not a real fjord, it's a long stretched lake). Beach are is well arranged for children and families? The hotel, on the other hand, is in a serious need for renovation. Everything is old, and doesn't look and feel good. Single bedrooms have shared bathrooms, and it's not pleasant to stand in line for taking a shower. The rooms are very hot in the summer, and there is no AC. The rooms on the main road side are exposed to a lot of traffic. An outdoor bar is located right beneath the windows, and all the alcohol noise comes straight into the rooms. I could accept all this if the price was right, but it isn't. NOK 790 per night with breakfast. That's about $90 or £65. I would think NOK 550 would be reasonable for a single bed bedroom with shared bathroom, at this standard.
