We had a wonderful evening at this cosy restaurant/hotel. Beautiful view, friendly service and great food at reasonable prices. The foie gras was very good and the risotto with girolles absolutely delicious. We totally recommend this place!

Stayed here before a cycle trip. The hotel was very busy with lots of walkers. We had a ground floor room on the front of the hotel, which was spacious and comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are 'tired', but that all adds to the charm. There was nothing wrong with the standard of cleanliness or preparation. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent, and very good value. Breakfast was also delicious. The welcome we received was second to none. It's not a posh hotel, but it's perfect for walking and cycling holidays - the location is great, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and the food is tasty.

We have stayed here on three occasions. French provincial hotels can be pretty uninspiring, but this is so different. The rooms are large and well furnished, the bathrooms immaculate. Perhaps above all it is the friendliness of the service from Thierry and Marie-Helene that makes it stand out. And with their very good restaurant next door and the situation next to the lake and amidst the forests in this marvellous area for walking one can't really ask for more.

We spent 3 nights at this B+B in May 2013, as a base to explore the Alsace wine region and some of its towns and villages: Thann, Colmar, Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr. We stayed in the Hay Loft room which was bright, spacious - just like the photos on the B+B's website. On the first night, we dined at the table d'hôte, which was delicious and very generous. We especially enjoyed the flammkuchen/tarte flambée (an Alsatian speciality). Breakfast was good, with fresh bread, cheeses, home made preserves and the like. I would stay here again, if in the region.

This is a spacious campsite with a variety of spots to pick from, mostly shaded areas. Electricity is included in the fee but not available everywhere (bring an extra long extension cable). The facilities are modern, kept very clean and they are spacious. You can order a variety of bread for morning pick-up at the shop. Camping Gaz bottles are cheaper here then they are in Holland !!! There are walking routes which start at the camp entrance and there's a dam with lake in which you can swim (it's a short hike up hill as the campsite is at the foot of the dam - currently the dam is undergoing maintenance so the distance to the actual water is about 1,5km - it's easier to take a quick drive in the car). There are a few auberges in the area. We recommend "Au Bram's" which is a short drive beyond the dam reservoir towards Wildenstein.
