Orizontes View Hotel is a recently built boutique hotel located in the beautiful and picturesque village of Ilia, Katakolon.Opening in June 2012 our hotel is open daily throughout the year. Built on the hill of the village,500 meters away from the center,has the privilege of unrestricted panoramic views over the Ionian Sea, from the bay as Kyparissiakos and enlightened coast of Zakynthos. Simple lines, minimal design, aesthetics, create an environment that balances the feeling of luxury with a warm family atmosphere offering generously both staff and owners. Three different types of rooms, 10 standard rainbow double bed,4 deluxe double bed,2 suites,all with panoramic views are available to you,as well as a cafe snack bar on the east terrace, where the view, environment and quality will pleasantly surprise you. It will be an honor and pleasure to welcome you to our place and offer you our hospitality and excellent services.

Reviewed By Gene R JMy wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2 PM and parking in front. Check in was quick with the English speaking receptionist; copy passports, issue the key card and pay later on checkout. We took the lone elevator to the 1st floor. Corner room #101 was tile floored, spacious and a modern design with a wardrobe, outfitted bathroom with a shower stall and fast hot water, a reefer unit with a small TV with excellent reception of many international channels(only BBC, Super 8 movies & Open Beyond shows in English), luxurious curtained king and a desk with chair. Insulated French doors opened to a balcony(table and 2 chairs) with a beautiful view over the port & bay. The secure room WIFI was good, the central AC/heat was not needed in mid April and a very quiet night’s sleep. The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was hygienically served and excellent with hot sunny side eggs/hard boiled, hot/cold meats, cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, OJ, breads/baked goods and a coffee machine. This new 18 room hotel is perched on a ridge above Katakolo with outstanding views of the bay on one side and the sea on the other.

Althea apartments is a 3 star, family run hotel at the side of Katakolo. Our hotel is brand new and has 16 studios (accommodates 1-3 people) and 4 maisonettes (accommodates 4-5 people) to offer. The studios and maisonettes are fully equipped, comfortable apartments, with big and roomy balconies, where you can enjoy the relaxing view of the sea and the sky.

Reviewed By H4460BT_We stayed in the hotel for 10 days with my husband and a two-year-old son, and it was the best experience ever! The service at the hotel was flawless, as well as was the room. We had a comfy baby crib, a well-equipped kitchen to prepare the meals, and the spacious balcony, where we could hang out after the baby fell asleep. There is a perfect beach for small children just 10 minutes away by foot and 2 minutes with the car. The owners of the hotel were really helpful and suggested many other great family-friendly beaches and playgrounds within the 10-20 minutes drive. We even didn't have time to check it all! So we will certainly be back! Thank you very much, Althea team!

A very well run ship
Reviewed By HH2801Our stay in Katakolo was not planned but we realised that our itinerary was not achievable as it stood and so booked a night here so as to be early to Olympia. I read lots of reviews and chose the Arethousa for its location. The hotel stands on the Main Street and is noticeable by the beautiful flowers at the entrance. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our rooms, two twins, both spick and span and as comfortable as we would have wished. The public areas are charming, cosy and with a nautical theme. Finding a dinner venue is easy as everything is walkable from the hotel. Breakfast was as much as we wished. We felt that this hotel represented excellent value for money and all of this within 30 minutes drive of Olympia.

Great location but pricey
Reviewed By Angelino RA nice hotel on top of a lovely bay with great sea views. Make sure to request a room with a view. It is rather family oriented. Rooms maybe a bit pricey for what’s on offer. The breakfast was mediocre at best. And the food in general was average.

Reviewed By soniagalaΤο περιτυλιγμα δεν διχνει τι κρυβεται μεσα… αρχικα μολις γνωρισεις την Νικη και τον Σπυρο καταλαβαινεις οτι ειναι εκει παντα προθυμοι για να κανουν οτι μπορουν για να περασεις καλα!! Ωραιο ανακαινισμενο δωματιο, εξαιρετικο πρωινο απο τα χερακια της Νικης με αυγα απο τις κοτουλες της και φυσικα το πασιγνωστο περασμα κερασμα που καθε φορα που περνας απο την ρεσεψιον σε μαλλωνοτν αν δεν κεραστεις παγωτινι! Νικη και Σπυρο ευχαριστουμε για ολα θα τα ξανα πουμε σιγουρα!!!
