Decent for this part of China, but not for a non-smoker
Reviewed By Don DOur family is staying here while visiting relatives in Jinchang. On the plus side: It is a pretty good value for a westerner at 198RMB (about $35) per night. The rooms are a reasonable size for a Chinese hotel; we had plenty of room with 2 twin beds. The bathroom was clean, although a little small. The rooms have a desktop computer, which I didn't try to use. The bed are firm, which I like. Its a older hotel and I liked the dark wood accents to the room. The service was good and the staff friendly. The front lobby is very nice having polished stone flooring, a spacious entry area, and grand red wood carved Chinese chairs. It has an exercise room and restaurant neither of which I tried due to time constraints. On the down side: The rooms and bedding wreak of cigarette smoke. The A/C in the room didn't work, which was only a mild inconvenience as the weather was mild. I know I said the bathrooms were clean, but there was some mold in the shower and shower head had some corrosion. The hotel has a wired network which is ok, unless you have a WIFI only computer like a MACbook air or tablet. The area has China Unicom WIFI, which I couldn't get to work when logging in with my boingo account. In summary, knowing the types of hotels in this city, this is a pretty good value and I would come back due to convenience to my relatives home.
