The hotel is actually called Niedersachsen.... 'Huxori' is in small writing on one side of the entrance, so may be missed. The complex is large and there is a car park opposite where vehicles may be parked @ 4 euros a night or 7 euros under cover. The hotel is central, so the medievial town is but a short distance away. Large room and comfortable bed. Breakfast absolutely brilliant with anything and everything you could wish for. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant which was most enjoyable. The red merlot was divine! £80.00 a night for the two of us incl. breakfast. Well recommended.

The hotel is located in the old town part of the little city Höxter. There is obviously a main house as where the reception is located and a second house across the street. You can and I recommend to book a parking place upfront with your stay. The rates a quite low and ease the parking struggle. The entrance to parking is just across the hotel entrance. You can choose between underground car-park and normal car-park - the rates differ slightly. Worth to mention that the ramp down to underground is quite narrow and can be challenging for big cars. Parking itself in the garage is quite spacious and should not be a problem. Upon arrival I was greeted without any warmth but rather technically friendly. Check-in was fast and efficent. I had room in the main house without elevator. Even though I did not had big luggage I was not even asked for courtesy if I need help with my luggage. It was just assumed that I will carry it a couple flight of stairs to my room. The room was tidy, functional and spacoius and offered everything you might expect from hotel of this category and rural location. WiFi reception was also OK and free of charge. Breakfast in buffet style was plenty and good. Overall a good hotel with very good breakfast. Service is unfortunatly rather "operative" without any warmth and mindfulness...

Very nice view from our room over the river. The room no 16 was nice and new with a double bed and a sofa bed for our kids, good yet small bathroom and nice shower. Unfortunately no shower cap was provided, because it is impossible to keep your hair dry under this shower as it is a rain shower coming straight from above.

On a bicycle trekking tour to Berlin we arrived at Hotel am Jakobsweg with 2 broken spokes in the rear wheel. The next morning Michael, the previous owner, arranged for a bike repair shop and took me and my bike in his car to the shop 8 km down the road. Great and friendly service. Much appreciated and would not have been able to continu the trip without this help. Thank you Michael and Christine!

This is a great place. Nice hotel, great homemade food, and real friendly staff. everything is done by the owner, his family and their help. and when I say everything,. that is the food, the sign, remodel etc. Plus, it is an old historic building with tons of character. I would definitely stay there again. great value for the money.
