Excellent accommodation in a lovely town
Reviewed By RandJ7We visited Canowindra on 26/01/22 in order to see the wonderful, world-class, Age of Fishes Museum. We stayed one night in the Riverview Motel. Reception was courteous and efficient. The location is a short walk to town and with a landscape view. The room was impeccably clean and well equipped. A bonus was the availability of first class Indian food, prepared on site by management. The cost of the room and meal was very acceptable. Parking at the door. We'd certainly stay there again.

Canowindra's hidden Gem!
Reviewed By stugs123What a find! I just love this hotel. When you enter your room, you are transported to a modern luxurious 5 star hotel. You easily forget where you actually are. Owners have done a stunning job on the room renovations but most importantly management is top notch. Thank you Matt! I really can't wait to see the other transformations that is planned such as the restaurant and front façade. We will definitely be back for another stay.

Marlow House is situated on three blocks of sloping garden with a spectacular view over Lucerne flats that flow into the undulating country side. Built in early 1900’s on the eastern edge of town this house resembles an old Queenslander, raised by a blue stone wall, with wide verandahs, unusual Indian inspired lattice work and outdoor timber shutters.

Disappointments were: - no bottle opener (annoying) - blinds broken and not working (and bedroom looks directly into adjacent house so this needed to be working) - creature in the ceiling space on last night scratching around (not that big a drama as we were in the country) - bbq outside (I assumed was for our use in cottage) was dirty and had cockroaches in it (this wasn’t acceptable) For the price and such a small space I’d have expected none of the above, still if these items were resolved it works have been a 10/10. We would come back if above were rectified and price a little lower.
