Enjoy a century convent Transformed into a hotel eighteenth century XXI where two architectural styles coexist with art, comfort and tranquility at its best.
A convent is not. It only has the outer walls and what the Church was. If you are following the footsteps of Santa Teresa, look for another site. That said, as a hotel... it meet no more. The upgrade has left ample spaces, large windows, a modern and comfortable place. The rooms, small, improvable lighting, small bathroom. The heating works very well, but the boiler turn on after 5 pm. Dinner. Good. Little dishes to choose, but very good quality. Fair amounts. Breakfast. Short. Toasted bread, biscuits and some fruit. The staff. Cold. They have a hard time greeting, but they work well. Will we be back?. Maybe. Atienza is a very beautiful town, and the convent is not a bad site for one night, maximum two.

Aislamiento acústico/ruido: 2/5 Desayuno: 3/5 Cama: 2/5 Bañera/Ducha: 3/5 Trato: 4/5 Wifi/internet: 3/5 It's a pretty old hotel as you can tell from the decoration and the room, which was rather dark. The bed had a very soft mattress, to the point where our backs hurt after one night. The owner was reasonably friendly. As is sadly typical, there was almost no acoustic insulation; you could hear people in the passageway and in other rooms as if they were in the room with you. The shower was small and the door didn't close properly, although it worked OK apart from that. The breakfast was adequate but not very varied. We didn't have dinner at the hotel (there's no outdoor terrace). The windows have mosquito screens, which are handy since there's no air conditioning and you need to open the windows at night in summer. The wifi worked erratically. Parking was easy, at least during the pandemic. Soundproofing: 2/5 Breakfast: 3/5 Bed: 2/5 Bath/shower: 3/5 Friendliness: 4/5 Wifi/internet: 3/5

Hostal Rural El Mirador de Atienza is located next to the restaurant, and thanks to the privileged area it confers a great tranquility to the rooms, which allows a good rest. We were having a weekend trip in Castilla - La Mancha, Spain, and were told of a local small, cozy restaurant caller EL Mirador de Atienza. We were amazed by the supreme quality of their food, impecable service, and great product / price rate. Highly recommended, I will definitely return.

What a little gem! Family run. Lovely people. My husband "helped" the dad with his lawnmower - no language just a lot of hand waving and laughter! The son has English and is so helpful. The mum is the chef (I think) and what a chef. The food was sublime and more than adequate - I took a recipe down it was so good. The rooms were spotless and quiet but perhaps need a little upgrading? The gardens will be lovely when Dad has sorted out his lawnmower :-) We still managed a drink or two in them whilst the dog wandered around. Atienza is a fabulous, ancient town with views all around.
