Aore Breeze has nice and new bungalows well agenced a few meters from a white sand beach, and with a splendid view, especially on sunrise. The table is very good, the host is a good chef. They proposed a nice and fun quad tour, and the walk around the island is beautiful.

Aore Island Resort is a stunning Pacific Island retreat with an authentic and welcoming culture nestled in a unique natural paradise. Experience the raw luxury of our private boutique bungalows and indulge in an impeccably fresh beachfront dining experience overlooking the crystal clear waters of Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu.
We visited Aore Island Resort in December last year and had an absolutely incredible 7 night stay - beautiful resort and delicious food made even better by the people there. One of the greatest things for us was having the rooms so close to the water, which meant we didn't need to travel for access to pristine snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. The staff were also amazing and helped us organise different day trips, such as horse riding and a visit to a bluehole. We would highly recommend to all and can't wait to return.

ACCOMMODATION - Situated amongst the swaying palms of the coconut plantation, the beachfront studios offer a tranquil escape from the hectic pace of life. BEACHSIDE RESTAURANT & BAR Enjoy the gentle lapping sounds of the water on the beach while you dine on fresh organic produce lovingly prepared by our resident chef. With fresh hand caught lobsters and fish plucked from the surrounding waters, it doesn't get any fresher. Locally reared Santo beef is a must have or a Two Canoes' ceviche prepared with a unique coconut twist and flawlessly perfected accompaniments. Our flame grill on the beach offers another option for those wanting a lunch or dinner al-fresco. Enjoy a delicious santo beef or chicken burger or grilled fresh fish with crisp organic salad. No need to leave your sun lounge! The Beachside Bar has a wide variety of wines available, plenty of cold beer and a cocktail list that is guaranteed to whet the appetite.
I booked two canoes because of its great reviews and website and was so excited for our holiday as it was the first in 23 years - I couldn’t have been more disappointed. First it would have been nice to be told beforehand that we would dropped off from the boat (transfer from airport) to and empty block that someone would be picking us up instead of us being left standing there with our luggage thinking we had been dropped off at the wrong location (in the dark) We were told that the solar panel batteries were being replaced so they are using generator (which was quite noisy and stank of diesel fumes if the wind blew your way) until they come in the next couple of weeks. I seriously doubt they have even been ordered. The power would drop out several times throughout the day for quite long periods of time pwhich is very inconvenient if you are in the middle of showering or need to flush the toilet. The power was also shut off between 10.30pm and 5.30am every night There is no screens on the doors or bathroom window and the gap in the bathroom wall and ceiling which made the nights very uncomfortable due to having to shut everything up to stop the mozzies which were so bad that even coating ourselves in aeroguard didnt stop and the humidity. Even though the bed was comfy we did not sleep well, it would have been nice to able to leave the door open to get the breeze. There is nothing to do there as there were no bikes to get around the island and the closest place is a 45 min walk in the heat unless you pay to have someone take you. There was no privacy in the bathroom as there was just a small sheer curtain that didnt even cover the window which looked out to the street. I was told when I enquired about staying there that we can use the kayaks to fish just off the beach. The kayaks sunk on us we also had to bring our own fishing rods. You are limited to buying food and drink there which is quite costly though very nice. The staff were wonderful and one of best things about the place but they were hard to communicate with and it would have been nice to have a person that could suggest things for you to do. It’s a lovely location but the cabins are very run down and needing lots of repairs. A good place to stay but I would only recommend a few days if you want to be pretty much off the grid. It also becomes a very costly holiday after paying for lunch, dinner, drinks, transfers (which we were told were complimentary at certain times but obviously were not) and tours. We noticed in the real estate window that two canoes is for sale so I suspect the owner really didn’t care and that is why nothing has been repaired. I would recommend looking st Aore Island Resort if you are looking for somewhere to stay in as they have a boat that travel several times a day to the main land so you are not restricted. They also have bikes and kayaks that work there and restaurant was very nice.

One exclusive beachfront bungalow offering a unique private retreat experience with an acclaimed restaurant, swimming, and snorkeling at your doorstep.
My Partner and I stayed at Freshwater Plantation from the 8th to the 12th of Jan. Wish we stayed longer. The bungalow was clean and spacious looking over the water and your own little beach. Plenty of air flow also meant never got overwhelmed with the tropical heat. The staff were incredible actively making sure everything was amazing for us. They have a private boat available for transfers to the mainland. The snorkelling just below the bungalow was incredible with so much fish life. The restaurant also was amazing including local dishes not seen in any other restaurant. The owner is also well connected within the local community and provided and helped organize day trips and activities like diving and car hire. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if we come back. Island View Cottages was just AMAZING! Aklid and Tony are there whenever you need and go above and beyond to make your holiday special!!! The cottages are well equipped, comfortable and clean. The gardens and grass are immaculate with beautiful flowers everywhere. Super private and relaxing place. Having your own private beach to snorkel and watch sunset was incredible, super easy to get over to the mainland for adventures and day trips, which Aklid can organise transport for you if needed! 100% recommend and would go back in a heart beat!
