Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

I can’t say enough about this hotel. This was our second stay and it again did not disappoint. It is not only that the hotel is beautiful but it is the hotel staff that made the wonderful experience. We were always greeted with a smile (I think because everyone had a mask on) and a welcome back. Two of the staff that stood out are Dave (shuttle driver) and RJ (bellman). Dave dropped us off and picked us up every day and was always very helpful and pleasant, he always greeted us and loaded and unloaded our skis for us. On one day with very cold temps we cut our ski day short and made a special trip to pick us up. RJ was equally as nice, always cheerful and ensured our gear was ready to go. He recognized us by sight so every morning our boots were ready and fresh off the warmer and upon returning he had our shoes and even a couple bottles of water. These are just two of the team members that made us feel special. I want to thank the entire staff. One minor thing that I did not like was at one breakfast a couple brought two dogs into the restaurant, if they were service dogs that would be ok but they poodles sat right up in the booth with them vice staying on the floor. I will be back next year.

Without a reservation, driving cross country well into the evening, I drove off the highway to the downtown area, an area completely unfamiliar to me. I had looked up where this hostel was and thought it would be adequate. The desk clerk was a hostile older gentleman that pretty much read me the riot act of what to do, what not to do. He was not hospitable at all, barking the price to me as if I couldn’t hear him the first time. Having stayed at several hostels and not being new to the hospitality rodeo, this hostel would be a NEVER on my list. I ended up trekking back to the airport area, staying at a hotel near the airport where my business was appreciated and treated graciously.

My nephew paid for three nights in advance. He was in UTAH to present his thesis at a conference. When he got there they would not let him in. They threatened him with tresspassing. My nephew even showed them the invoice proving that he had paid for three nights. He had to find alternative lodging at the last minute. Don't look at their reviews on their own site. They take down all the bad reviews. Horrible, horrible experience. Book at your own peril.

People of all ages, from all over stay here and everyone was considerate (initials on refrigerator food honored) and super friendly. A big thank you to all the staff, but especially Charlie, who works the front desk and at the local paper. Charlie went out of his way to be a super host and I thoroughly enjoyed my Moab trip.

The Cowboy Bunkhouse Hostel honors the Cowboys and Cowgirls who participated in the 20 years between 1865 and 1885.
JoAnn the owner and a native to Kanab is super accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. You won’t find better pricing, location of the grand circle, and the theme of the Hostel is on point! Great history and they make you feel part of a community. Wonderful tasty garden in front - I made some delish sandwiches with their homegrown tomatoes. It’s a hidden gem in the Southwest.

So usually when I do my ski trips to salt lake I stay at the Camelot hostel since it’s within walking distance to the trax. Anyways upon doing my usual reservation it was canceled and no room available, but this location had rooms available. Bit leery about this since I need access to trax to reach the uta ski bus well it turned out to be just 50 yards extra. So as the other reviews in Camelot show there is no attendant on sight you need to handle everything using a smartphone device with texting or email. I decided to book a single room due to COVID and with my ski gear I haul along works better. Since the construction is newer the bathroom facilities are pretty nice. The heating worked well in the evening so no need to wear a layer of clothes once inside.
